Re: Romanian TTC Tokarev pistol
For those who CCW a Tokarev, do you carry with a round in the tube? I fear carrying my Tokarev because of its lack of safety, especially using a IWB holster.

Re: Pitting and Rust
My P64 is the only P64 I've ever owned. It is indeed my primary CCW. I soaked the gun in mineral spirits overnight and oiled everything well and it looks a lot better. There is still some rust that I can't seem to tackle, but its manageable now. I consider it a "tool" and my tools for work...

Re: Favorite/worst 9x18 ammo
I've been buying Brown Bear FMJ for target and Silver Bear HP for carrying. I want to try Hornady HP but it seems everywhere online is sold out or doesn't sell it at all. Does anyone know of a place that sells it?

Re: Pitting and Rust
Do you guys suggest keeping the P64 or selling this one for one in better condition? There is a bit of rust and pitting on the hammer and on the back of the slide that I can't seem to get off.

Re: Buffalo Wild Wings bans CC
I work at Kroger and we don't have signs posted banning concealed carry. I'm not sure if employees are allowed to CC, but I do it anyways, especially since I usually work nights, sometimes by myself. In the event that the store is held up, we are told to just give them the money. I really don't care...

Re: Mosin-Nagant 91/30 Ammo Sale - Sportsman's Guide
How much does a can of 7.62x54R cost at shows? I have a show coming up next weekend, but I'm wondering if sportsmansguide is a better deal than what I'd find locally. I usually order from them because of their good shipping prices.

Re: Favorite/worst 9x18 ammo
I ordered a box of Brown Bear and a box of Silver Bear HPs from cheaperthandirt on Tuesday and my order status still says "Credit Card Approved." First time ordering from cheaperthandirt. How long does shipping usually take and do they send tracking numbers? I was a bit disappointed in the...

Re: Pitting and Rust
I've heard of using diesel fuel to remove cosmoline. I've also heard of people using mineral spirits or paint thinner. If I soak in one of those, how do I remove the chemical? Edit: Also, I don't see how to disassemble the trigger in the manual. I'm assuming you pop out the pin first, but I can't se...

Re: Pitting and Rust
Here is a pic of the frame with slight pitting: http://imgur.com/PXnlG.jpg Also, how do I remove the trigger? There is a bit of liquid rust (mix of oil and rust) that appears on top of the trigger each time I pull it. There isn't really any rust on the frame, just inside the trigger mechanism that I...

Pitting and Rust
Hi guys, fairly new P64 owner here. I got mine on gunbroker for $180 + shipping/FFL fees. Anyways, there is a bit of pitting on the frame, just above the trigger and a bit of surface rust. Is the pitting normal? And how do I remove the rust?
Thanks
Thanks

Re: VERY hard DA trigger pull
A question about the trigger. I just installed the 19lb spring and am pleased with the new DA pull. The only remaining problem is the pull isn't very smooth. How can I smooth the trigger pull a bit?

Re: Recoil spring install question
I haven't had any problems with recoil. What is the most common reason for replacing a recoil spring on a P64?

Re: Buffalo Wild Wings bans CC
Most places in my area that don't allow CCW just have the typical pistol with an "X" slashed through, which seems more polite than a sign with words.

Has anyone tried this holster? http://sportsmansguide.com/net/cb/pro-t ... x?a=424805
Doesn't look too bad, for the price, I might give it a shot. Can't tell what gun is in the picture, but it looks about the same size as a P-64
