My FEG AP's came in
I soaked them first in kerosine for several hours. That got the "gunk" off. Then I blew them off with compressed air and gave them a dunk in mineral spirits to get the residual kerosine oil off and blew them dry again. After lubing and putting them together, I put 3 rounds through each and...

My FEG AP's came in
I used to see kerosine sold out of bulk tanks but I haven't seen one of those for years. I imagine you can still find it sold that way up north where kerosine is sometimes used as a heating fuel. Down here, the only way I've seen it sold is in 1 gallon containers at the hardware store. If you have a...

My FEG AP's came in
I can't imagine mineral spirits harming the finish. It's pretty bland stuff. I don't know if I'll be able to get any decent pics. My camera phone doesn't take the clearest pictures in the world.

My FEG AP's came in
I had previously inquired about the $90 FEG AP's available from Centerfire and then told you that we got together an office order for 5. They came in. They don't look like they have been shot much but they show significant holster wear markins on the anodized aluminum frames. That tells me they were...

Anybody know about an FEG Model AP?
Papabear, the company (Centerfire) is somewhere up near you in KY. I wonder if you could just stroll in and take your pick of the litter.

Anybody know about an FEG Model AP?
Well I (or I should say, we) did it. I got 4 other people in the office and we placed an order for 5 at the same time to get a slight break on the shipping charge.

Anybody know about an FEG Model AP?
Great. Maybe I'll order one (or a few). Now for the important question. I see one marked $89 and others are more. The only difference I see is the slide markings. Any reason I shouldn't go for the cheapest?

I shot my P64's
Think of that magazine falling out is a "desirable feature". Since changing magazines in a firefight is difficult with a P-64 due to the clumsy magazine release, an automatic dropping after the last shot would be perfect. As to recoil, try adjusting your grip. I don't notice any recoil sti...

VERY hard DA trigger pull
Mine was the same way. 18lb hammer and 20lb recoil smoothed it out beautifully.

No more PA-63's from JG Sales
The $99.95 special is a thing of the past. My buddy at work called on Saturday to try and order a couple and was told they are sold out with no indiciation of if they will ever get any more in. Another good buy bites the dust.

You missed two Makarovs - the Russian commercial IJ-70 and the post-unification German.

opinions about buying a 380
I refuse to buy an .380 as long as I own 9x18 guns. There is too much risk I will get the two mixed up.

Diesel, mineral spirits and marvel mystery oil?
Nice work Tripper. For cosmoline on metal, I've always just used plain spray carb cleaner. Do it outside because it is wickedly toxic stuff, but it will clean cosmoline just fine. Just make sure you remove any rubber or plastic parts/grips. I use compressed air to blow it off after cleaning.
