Re: Just got a 1968 P64 yesterday
You might also pick up the extended magazine release as well. I found it difficult to release the mag after putting on the grips.

Welcome to the forum. I don't know about the Marschal grips, but I have Polishiron grips; which I like.

I can't say anything more than what has been said. These grips work great.

Re: 9x18 cheap
Looking at the Bazer Ammo website, it doesn't look like they make a steel case, just aluminum for the Makarov round. They also have Berdan primers.

Re: Ammo with some corrosion
I'm going to check the rest of the box of ammo, in next few days. I have some other factory ammo, that I'll look at as well. I wonder how well the Russions follow the rules?

Re: Ammo with some corrosion
Thanks for the heads up, but I think that is just an illusion. I measured the three rounds and the OAL measured 0.936", 0.941" and 0.942".Ketchman wrote:................... From what I can see it looks as if the bullet has been pushed back into the case some,

They were in the original Silver Bear packaging. Don't know if they got wet, they came with a CZ82 I bought.

Re: Ammo with some corrosion
They look like they were sandblasted. I don't see any deep pitting, just the sandblast look after taking some steel wool over a couple of them in the picture. In fact, after cleaning another picture they would look the same.

Ammo with some corrosion
I was looking at some ammo that I got with one of my guns; which is Silver Bear 9mm Makarov. I noticed there is a slight amount of corrosion on the cases, is this a problem? Should I just shoot it and not worry about the cases?

Re: Hard Chromed, Custom Grips on P64
After stripping the old finish the chrome might not add anymore thickness to the frame. I just had to ask though.

Re: 9x18 cheap
Good price. It's about twice that in the Seattle area; which would be outside of Seattle as they have an ammo tax. I have a bunch of 9mm brass that is going to be trimmed down and reloaded.

Re: Hard Chromed, Custom Grips on P64
Very nice! Did you have any problems fitting it back together after the chrome? Or is it just replacing one coating with another?
