Re: Slide locked back

Great call on that juniustaylor. The buzzards are circling, it must be dead. Wolf ammmo right. I guess this can to any ammo but it had to happen to Wolf. I know a lot of people do not like wolf because of hard primmers and pierced primmers. Now they can add this to their list. I need to remember thi...

Re: Manufacture year

O. K. that settles the C&R thing---All the women I date are on that list too!!! Now, the hammers are different and they each have corresponding firing pins. There are two types of trigger bars. I believe the latter ones is "improved" and you can retrofit. Cant say for sure on this. The ...

RWS brass cased ammo

Target Sports USA has this on sale for $13.49 a box OR $269.80 a 1000 round case with free shipping. I have never seen this mak ammo anywhere and do not know anything about it, but for brass cased ammo the 1000 round case deal looks good. I have shot 9mm RWS and the quality seemed excellent. From Ta...

Re: Odd safety on a P-83

I see some "odd" sights on that pistol. Any idea who makes them? Importer installed?
Nice looking unusual importer. Thanks for sharing.

Re: Manufacture year

There is an early and late style magazine.

8) Magazines are of two types, early and late, the later style being readily identified by having approximately half the cut out area, top left by slide stop, as the early style. Yes or No.

8) Yes

Re: Slide finish color

My 1970 has an "off blue" slide. The-- 9mm ,,P-64" --stamp is also larger along with the circle 11, year, and serial number as shown in the photo. I thought this looked odd, so i pulled out some others and the font size is larger by about one and a half to two font sizes. Other ones l...

Re: First Outing, Several Problems

Oh man! Did you mean that the trigger, not hammer, was back and would not be able to reassemble? Take your grips off and see if the trigger bar has spring tension. It should go up when you press down and release.

Re: New owner with a problem

Great pics of your extractor, Junius. I like the way the pics show the half circle cut out behind the lip so the extractor scan go down, then up and lock. I guess those tits on either side are to hold center without binding and/or casting lugs?

Re: New owner with a problem

This could be another illusion in the photo, but your extractor looks like it is nose diving in the front and sticking up in the back next to the plunger. The gap between the plunger end and extractor seems excessive. Is there buring at the top of the extractor? All mine are parallel with the slide....

Re: First Outing, Several Problems

Try cleaning the chamber again. Firing those first rounds probably heated up a hard to get out/off cosmoline wax stuff.
