Re: Trigger not resetting 50% of the time
That's not a sweet deal with your sugar sand. Check the trigger bar. Remove the grips and look at the bar on the right side there. It is a close fit between the frame and grip. I can see how sand would be a problem here. At the top of the right grip and forward is a good spot for any crap to get in.

That sounds reasonable. Thanks. The P-64 extractor is HUGE for its caliber. Imagine what a .45 acp extractor would look like on the same scale!!!!

Went shooting my dad's Colt AR that he got in 1967. He does not break it out much, so this was special for me. I remember the case of ammo he got with it and the cool boxes. A member at the range said, "Look, that's one of those retro AR." Yea we got ammo to match!!!! holster 014.jpg holst...

Re: Trigger guard spring replacement ARRGH
Try using TV cable, cause of its soft outer covering, and a screw driver. Wrap it so you can use the screw driver to tighten the cable turning the screwdriver through a loop from the top of the pistol with the slide on. Use a large loop with a few turns to start with so it will not get tight immedia...

Re: Military Holster?
The holster is approx. 7 1/4" inches down the straight side and 5 3/4" inches across the top. I will go look at one of my P-64 holsters. If it is a P-83, thats good also because I need one of those too!! I am used too old potato chip holsters that are dried out, but this one is not.

Military Holster?
Here is my holster from APEX. It has a very light pebble grain. The leather is soft and not dryedout. It seems a little too supple.Everything else looks right except thr bottom of the extra magazine holder. The ends are tucked and it is not sewn all the way around. Anybody else got one like this? I g...

If it is not as smooth or worse than before, take apart again and make sure that detent spring is installed correctly and is not binding. While everything is apart place arm in slide without spring and detent. Any drag here will only be amplified latter. Here is how I check the spring and detent: Wi...

Re: P64 Slide Not Completely Closing
The old not going into battery. Check that new spring for binding. Stick with one type of ball ammo to keep it simple and see if you can get the pistol to work with that before moving on. How do you get the slide to close so the pistol will fire in the above given circumstance. Usually, if a round i...

Thanks for that. WOW--that PPU is moving. I've heard that a lot of the Winchester metric ammo is S&B.
Your chrony results give support to that.
