Re: Does the P-64 definitely not have a drop safety?

As with a Ruger revolver that has a transfer bar safety, both pistols will fire if the hammer is pulled far enough back and released. On a Ruger it is approx. 2/3 the way back to cocked. This works great for an accidental hammer snag and release, but only to the 2/3 point. Members on this forum have...

Re: P64 internals question.

Make sure your P-64 is unlaoded and safe. Remove magazine and grips. Cock the P-64 to single action fire. Again, make sure pistol is unloaded. Observe from the left side of the pistol. There is a hole in the frame where you can observe the trigger bar to the lower part of the sear engagement. If you...

Re: P64 internals question.

The triangular extension of the sear is probably for strength of the sear tooth. Bigger at top for sear to hammer engagement and then narrowing to trigger bar engagement. The sear narrows at the bottom. The function of the lower part of the sear is for trigger bar engagement during single fire. Duri...

Re: P64 DA problem

Try it with the slide off, but be careful not to let the hammer drop. This may help to see if you have disconnector problems.

Re: Stop the madness!!!

Crazy here too. Some gun shops may need to take an unexpected vacation because of lack of stuff to sell. I have noticed that mak 9x18 ammo is still out there, but thinning out. I saw were Classic is out of the LVE brand. I did see where some silver bear was available.

Re: BACK TO BACK MAKS

$250 for the 60, pistol only. $321 for the 61 with holster, extra mag, extra set of bulgy star grips. I did not have to think about it long, especial on the 1960. First I've seen for sale around here in about 2 years. They had the 1960 sitting next to a PA-63. Both were the same price. Being a rocke...

BACK TO BACK MAKS

I hardly ever see an East German Makarovs for sale around here, but I am always looking.
Then these two poped up in different shops miles apart and happened to have the nicer import stamp. Top is a 1960 bottom is a 1961.

Just to be clear, are you talking about the trigger guard pin or the one through the trigger in the frame?

Re: Local Brown Bear availabilty

Monarch brand was available from Academy, but have not seen it it a while. He called a few other stores and they were out too. He did not no if they were going to get any more or not. The only thing I have heard about imported ammo is an imported ammo tax. Maybe someone here could give more info on ...
