Re: Case Rim Damage

Since the cases are not damaged by those shooting other P-64s, this indicates there is a problem with my particular gun. After doing some close inspection I took the stones to the extractor and ejector which had a very sharp point on it and is likely the culprit. I just removed the sharp edges with ...

Re: Trigger reset

The problem is likely that the grip is rubbing on the trigger bar and keeping it from moving freely into position. First, check to make sure your grip is installed properly. Look inside the magwell to check the fit. Second, if the grip is installed properly, remove it and check the trigger bar. One ...

Re: V.07 vs V.05 Polish Iron Grips

I recently bought a set of the V.05BT grips from another member here. The original V.05 grip would leave me with a small cut on my hand after about 25 rounds. Using the V.05BT grips, I fired 80 rounds before a blister made me stop shooting. Seems the rubber rubs the webbing of my hand upon firing. I...

Case Rim Damage

I have been reloading my saved brass from my P-64 and noticed that most of the case rims have sharp marks on them. I am guessing this is from the extractor. Any input on how to minimize this would be appreciated. I am considering taking a stone to the extractor and rounding over any sharp points. Th...

Re: New guy here with questions....

That is probably the last round hold open feature. Most semi-auto pistols have that. The slide locks back when the magazine is empty. you drop the empty mag, lock a fresh mag in the well, pull the slide back and release it. You are then ready to resume firing. Some pistols have a slide release. The ...

Re: Mag ID

It is relatively easy to bend them slightly. Be careful not to damage the edges or the feed lips. I used a punch to pry open the feed lips on one and a small rubber mallet to close the feed lips on another. Use a set of calipers to measure a working magazine and then match those dimensions on the ot...

Re: Mag ID

If you have problems with the KeepShooting magazines, you may have to slightly modify the magazine to fit your P-64 or tune the feed lips to correct feeding issues. I had some Star magazines that were originals, but would not feed properly. When I measured the feed lips, they were too far apart on o...

I use an IWB made to fit my S&W snubby. Works very nicely and conceals sooo much better!

Re: polish p 64 help

Welcome to the board. Okay, I will first say that I am not quite sure what is happening with your P-64 because you only speak of rounds 1, 3 and 4. I am assuming that you are using the correct 9 x 18mm Makarov ammunition. Using 9 x 19mm Luger I am not sure the round would even chamber because of len...

Re: New P-64 and range report

Welcome sir. I am the proud owner of two 1970 P64s. One needed the Wolff springs and one did not. Both appear to be refurbished, but some old parts were reused. I am guessing that one had the springs replaced during the rebuild. Both have the same 3# SA pull and around 12# DA pull. On DA that is not...

Perhaps it is the camera angles, but is it slightly left of center?
