Re: Daewoo DR200
Funny thing is they are mostly AK/AR knock offs with a little Galil/FAL thrown in for good measure. Mins shoots like a well refined AK in 223, what I would think m VZ58 would shoot like if it were 223. The Daewoos take standard AR mags. The lower internals resemble AR while the gas system operating ...

Re: Daewoo DR200
The first thing I did was order an original stock (US import variety). I was not a fan of the folding stock either. I tried to like it and even removed the bottom part of the grip. I just could not live with that stock.

Re: new look for my AR
I prefer my AK's but have a couple of AR's with different uppers. I wanted to see first hand what the accuracy difference was when shooting the same round out of each platform. The AR and AK shooting 545 39 with open sights at 100yds are indistinguishable. In 223 the AR holds a slightly better advan...

new look for my AR
I know it is just another AR, but I wanted something different. I could not believe the quality of these pieces and a direct fit without any modifications. The wood is soooo smooth it feels like plastic.

Daewoo DR200
Picked up a DR200 the other day and finally had time to take it out. I was surprised when I received it at how dirty the action was. I don't think I could sell a firearm in that condition. After almost an hour of scrubbing it was ready for some range(desert shooting) time. Pleasantly surprised at ho...

congrats on the new acquisition. I always check the gunshows for one in reasonable condition at a fair price, no luck to date.

Re: Liquidating Guns
Thank goodness for rooms the wife does not have keys to. If she only knew the extent I am sure it would not please her much. I keep her busy with my OD green truck affliction outside, so she does not notice the steel and wood inside the house:)

Re: Liquidating Guns
On the other hand I enjoy the variety. As long as you don't try to stock up all at once it is not that bad. When you go to the range you just choose the caliber you happen to have gotten a good deal on and shoot away. I did not even notice the ammo price increase as I just shot the ammo that I had t...

I like my Saiga 12 at a better price point although not auto it still has a lot of stick mags along with a 12 and 20 round drum available.

Re: CZ-52 Range Report
I recently started shooting my 762 25 pistols again. I find my CZ52 to be very enjoyable to shoot along with the Tok pistols (tt33 and 54-1). I don't recall how long ago I picked up my CZ but every once in a while it comes out and gets a bunch of attention. Very fun pistol to shoot but the range onl...

Re: Sight Paint
Since I have an abundance of engine paint around I use the chevy orange or the bright green to touch up my sights. I spray a little into a small lid and use a toothpick to apply. This allows me to fill any of the grooves found on various models as well as keep the paint limited to just the areas I a...

Re: .410 Shotgun Reloading?
I have had good luck with reclaimed lead from the trap/skeet ranges, when they would have it. I also watch the local ads and craigslist for people who have lead locally and want to get rid of it. Around here $25 - $30 a 25# bag is what I can expect to pay when I find someone trying to get rid of it....
