New P-64 owner
You are right Norm. I should have been a little clearer. I have used Wolf twice, once when I got a box with the gun and another time when that was all they had on the range with no problems but that was probably more luck than anything else. I have some Wolf Gold in 7.62 x 25 which I have found be g...

That is the firing pin spring that comes with the recoil spring. You don't need to change it out. You can get custom grips made by Marishal grips. He is located in Europe and I have only heard positive things about him. Hogue Handall Jr. grips help a lot. I think that the Hogue grips do more than th...

9mm barrel for CZ52
It is not hard to change out the barrels. Takes about 15 seconds. The CZ-52 will shoot a little low. At least mine does. Make sure the barrel come with all the parts. Some of them from AIM surplus didn't have the rollers and the pins. My 52 shoots 9 mm FMJ very well and there is no recoil to speak o...

The cheap solution is a Hogue Handall Jr. I think it works pretty well and is less than 10 bucks. The heavier recoil spring helps some but not as much as the Handall Jr. in my humble opinion. You can get Marishal grips that are supposed to help. I just got the handall jr. Maybe I will get custom gri...

Where is everyone from?
I have lived the Norfolk area for 27 years but am originally from Eastern Kentucky. If there was town close I would give you a name for it, but Knott county is out in the boonies.

New, with PA63
I highly recommend that if you shoot it before you get the grips to put a Hogue Handall Jr. on it and get a heavier recoil spring. I also recommend that you hold it low. In its stock form it kicks a lot worse than the P-64 but with the Handall Jr. and heavier recoil spring it is about like a 380 and...

Slide doesn't lock back - heavier recoil spring
The recoil spring didn't affect this on any of mine. I guess if it works with the original and not the extra power, install a Hogue Handall Jr. grip and leave the original spring in. The extra power recoil spring didn't make nearly as much difference in recoil as the Handall Jr.

Loading with the safety on (PA-63)
Looked it up in manual and it actually says to load with safety on.

Loading with the safety on (PA-63)
I have been loading my PA-63 with the safety on. In some guns this damages the firing pin. What is the conscenous on this. I keep it by bed and peroidically reload it after the range. I really don't like depending on the decocker if I don't have to.

PA-63 and P-64?
I own both and have shot both. The PA-63 with an extra power recoil spring and Handall Jr. grip is easier on me to shoot and has an extra round. If you are going to use high power rounds such as Pow'r Ball, the P-64 might be a better choice. For Silver Bear hollow points and FMJ, I would take the PA...

better? leave magazine full or empty for storing
You can either rotate magazines or load less than capacity. I change out magazines every few months. I believe most magazines will still function after being loaded for months or years. If you go to the Wolff springs website www.gunsprings.com they actually discuss this. Go to the frequently asked q...

It Still "Bites"!!
The handall Jr. helps a lot. You might try gloves. I have the heavier springs and the Handall Jr. and it still hurts a little after a half a box or so. The heavier springs and the Handall Jr. make more difference on the PA-63. I don't shoot for than 20-30 rounds out of mine at a time. Having smaller...

hammer goes back but gun won't fire
Believe I just needed to clean it. I put some cleaner through it and looks like it works. I will have to go the range and make sure. Goes back to what Norm says most problems go back to cleaning.

hammer goes back but gun won't fire
I went to range today to test out the extra power recoil spring and had a weird thing happen. Many times the round would chamber and the hammer cock but the trigger wouldn't reset so I couldn't shoot the gun. I tried different magazines, chambering less rounds. I also tried different ammunition. It ...
