Hornaday bullets
My P-64 doesn't like Hornaday hollow points and I noticed on the few that I tried to chamber that the bullet actually moved back farther into the brass. I was wondering if this was happening to anyone else. I use silver bear and they chamber pretty well. A few times I don't rack the slide hard enoug...

break in period
I could not get any Hornaday to chamber. I suspect that it is the bullet design. The Hornaday has a larger opening and that maybe why it doesn't feed. The Silver Bear feed much better. I think that the Silver Bear will feed 100% when I put some more rounds through the gun. I keep my gun loaded with ...

break in period
I purchased my P64 a couple years ago but haven't gotten a chance to shoot it. I finally got out to the range to shoot it some more. The pistol appeared to have been shot very little if at all when I got it. It initially didn't cycle well, but after a 50 or so rounds, cycles well on FMJ. It will als...

Real Clothes Flesh and Bone??
The round should be ballistically similiar to a 380. The bullet type, weight, and area hit would determine the effect. A .22 in the right place is fatal. If the army and police have used this round for so many years, probably in a ball form it must work. If are looking for maximum stopping power use...

Jambing issues
The P 64 can be adjusted to shoot well in the double action mode. A gun smith did mine where I bought it in Virginia Beach. If you are handy you can use the procedure in the modificatins section. My double pull is very easy. My wife can use it without any problem.

P64 Jamms
I had the same problem with mine last week. I lubricated my slide and also made sure that I released the slide after pulling it all way back. I found that if the round did not eject right way, that it is easier to pop out the magazine and then cycle the slide to eject the round. The manual that comes...

feeding problem
The accuracy is good. The recoil is a lot less than I thought it would be it. I had heard it was pretty sharp but it was not really any more than my CZ - 52. I have realitively small hands so that probably helps too.I just felt it in my palm instead of my fingers. The toughest part of the pistol is ...

9x18 Ammo sources
Cheaper than dirt is good source. Try J and G sales also, they are out of Arizona and a distributor. They have a lot of regular and surplus ammo. They are also a distributor for mil surplus weapons. You can buy the ammo on line. I bought some 30 tokarev ammo cheap a while back. Cheaper than dirt wil...

feeding problem
What I believe the problem was I needed to lubricate and clean the slide. I lubricated the slide and cleaned it. What was happening was that every few rounds the slide would not completely cycle and I could not pull the trigger. It looked like the slide was not completely closed. I would remove the ...

feeding problem
I bought my P 64 in January finally got to take it out and shoot it, but had some feeding problems. I initially thought it was a recoil spring problem. The gun store had told me if you put the spring in wrong the gun would jam and not feed right. I got home and looked it up and the spring was in rig...
