Re: Slide stuck open

The grips are plastic, and the frame is open, meaning the grip plastic rubs up against the magazine. If the screw is too tight, the grips deform inward and squeeze the mag. The screw should be just tight enough to where it won't come loose, and the grips are snug and not moving. But the mags should...

I find these to be exceptionally useful and dirt cheap:

Re: Slide stuck open

Hi all, Yesterday, after shooting about 90 rounds through my P-64 the slide locked/jammed back after the last round. I could barely more the slide and the mag was difficult to remove. In better light at home, I could see that the ejector/slide stop was jammed against the bolt face preventing the sl...

Re: Slide stuck open

Cat I would remove the slide and see if the spring is on right and do a complete cleaning. I will do that - good suggestion - thanks ! In the meantime I oiled it up pretty good, which helped. Then I remembered that earlier today I thought the Grips were a bit loose, so I had tightened them up. Not ...

Re: Slide stuck open

I have the same problem, and I have neither fired nor disassembled this pistol. It's new (to me) from SOG. If I bring back the Slide a little, release the Magazine, and yank it out, then the Slide releases. But it's quite difficult to do. If I were relying on the next magazine to keep the bad guys a...

Re: How many P-64's are there ?

I just received my P-64 from SOG - Hand Select.

Very clean, and very little wear.

Happy I was able to buy one at a good price - $229.95

Wow.

Were there that many Polish Police Officers ?

Do you think half are in the USA now ? (P-64's, not Polish Police Officers)

Re: P64 Source....any out there?

Also allot of Gander Mountains, and Cabelas are carrying them in pretty good condition for about the same price. Advantage is you get to see what you get and test the function before you buy. Also it's easier to return a lemon locally if need be. The Gander Mountain about a mile away from my house ...

Sounds good !

The "old-timers" will tell us that they were going for $199 or less not too long ago, but we missed that boat.

Re: I just bought my first P64

The ATF just took $30 from my account Feb 2nd, so it may be a few weeks before my C&R arrives. But like most folks, I'm doing some preliminary shopping.

I hope your P64 is real clean !

Where did you buy it, and how much ? If it's none of my business, that's cool.
