Re: Llama ix-b 1911 Handgun

The main concern with the LLamas is the extractor breaking. Finding spares is next to impossible. Wonder how much it would cost to have one made?

Re: My Ugly 10/22

Here's mine http://i1108.photobucket.com/albums/h412/Heretic_aag/13%20Feb%202011/Picture001.jpg?t=1298181316 It's had many thousands of rounds through it, so it's a little rough around the edges! :D I'm a fan of function over form, but I'd say yours hits both points. It's simple yet easy on the eye...

Re: What can go wrong on these, what has broke on your p-64?

The firing pin requests I've heard about were allegedly from russian ammo that "burned" the pin (I think it was Wolf). I've heard of safeties breaking. I plan to buy another P64 just to have spare parts.

Re: My Ugly 10/22

I look forward to it Kansas. The first firearm I ever owned was a Marlin model 60. My dad bought it for me when I was 13 and I still have it.

Re: My Ugly 10/22

Ya gotta love 10-22's, Have several that have been upgraded with after market goodies. Like what I see here on yours Foo! After market goodies. Thanks. It's pretty bare bones, especially compared what I usually see. It's meant to be purely functional. For anyone wondering, the stock was m...

Re: Mosin Nagant Rifles

$99 isn't bad, but $69 is very good if they aren't junk.
Found an M39 at a local gun store. Almost went back and got it. Those MN's are so addictive.
I need to build up my P64 collection first.

Re: My Ugly 10/22

Foo Bird I've looked at this post 3-4 times now and still having a hard time trying to find the ugly! Looks like a fun piece. It has no bright colors. No artfully crafted stock. No stylish target barrel or shiny scope and mounts. Maybe I've seen too many of those high dollar 10/22s that look too ni...

Re: Newest Find

A shame Llama went out of business. The Llamas pictured are really nice. That goes double for Papabear's.

anjdrifter, I bought the same full sized .45 years ago for my dad. He even let me carry it when BOTH my BHPs went down. It is one nice gun.

Since we are showing our Llamas love, here's my crappy pics of my Mini-Max II. (BTW, it's pronounced Yama for those unfamiliar.)

Re: I wnet to a local gun show yesterday

$9? Hahahahahaha. I've paid anywhere from $5 to $10....for parking. Then you are required to pay $10-$24 for admission. As these shows are held a ways away, there is the gas I burn too. Usually I see the same guys selling the same overpriced crap show after show. I have literally seen guys hanging o...

Re: I wnet to a local gun show yesterday

I quit going to gun shows years ago. Not worth the hassle. Finding deals is like trying to find a needle in a haystack and the aggravation to get there and park isn't worth it.
