It gets smoother when you take it apart and soak it in mineral spirits. The springs help a lot of course.....but I have found the cleaning makes it run so much smoother.

I agree^
There is no "unlimited" supply of much of anything. Eventually you will exhaust it.

Absolutely.
There is a picture of Mikes brother with a AR15 drum on his Saiga with the adapter somewhere.
Let me see if I can find it.

Re: .410 Truck Gun
By "Beta Mags" are you talking stock Saiga or Surefire for Saiga's?
The adapter just clicks in like a magazine then the AR15 mags go in it. Mag release is on the right hand side.
To use the stockers just click the mag adapter out of the gun.....load the stock mags and go to town.

Re: Mosin Nagant Supply Drying Up in Russia
I have a friend exactly like yours. :) Good news is my body will not contort into the position required for me to follow his request. We (us old collectors) sometimes lose the excitement factor of our toys. So often people come here to hunt. They always want to shoot an AK47. But many also take one ...

The sky is not falling obviously as there are a few kabillion out there......but the day of $75 dollar shootable Mosins are probably coming to an end.
Just a FYI

Not being critical here....just an observation over the years.

Re: .410 Truck Gun
I added it to my post above yours but here it is again....Mike is a great guy..... renegadebuck@gmail.com Just a side note....the USGI Aluminum mags work great...as some other AR15 mags....but those PMAG plastic things suck butt. I get the DH Industries AR15 mags from 44mag.com for under $10 bucks. ...
