take off the side and look at the side stop and the slide stop spring
there are some good pictures of that on this site

but I think you may have a broken slide stop spring bent wrong

It's alot easyer if you take the slide stop off when trying to put spring in and trigger bar on

THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN SEE THIS ON YOUR GUN IS TO TAKE SLIDE OFF AND THEN TAKE THE SLIDE STOP OFF THEN YOU SEE A WINDOW IN FRAME

YOU COULD HAVE A BROKEN TREGGER RETRUNE SPRING
