Which way do you slide the extractor to get it out once the spring is depressed? ??? Towards the plunger?

pull slide back as far back as you can get it it then let go ... still does it you may have crud in in the extractor spring take slide off soak in a solvent for about 2 hour's ... out of gun and clean spring and spring channel NORM

don't know what the problem is with out looking at the gun the slide stop maybe worn out could be the slide stop spring I don't think its the mag's if it happens on all of them.
