Did I almost blow my gun up?
Well, it's my own fault I guess. All I had available at the time wre the 115 gr bullets. The casing were unifrom in their ejected direction, however, I was at an indoor range so I had a little stall separater wall on both sides of me. I definitely won't be shooting these or any other 115 gr loads ou...

Did I almost blow my gun up?
The rounds in the barrel certainly look normal to me! I thought so, too. I should have retrieved a casing from the 2 boxes I shot prior to this, but didn't think about it - I was having too much fun! I haven't changed or modified or even polished anything. I cleaned it and shot it. Maybe a bad box ...

Posting Pictures
Posting pictures is really easy once you know what is involved. First, I don't get any web space with this message board, so your picture must exist on the internet. All you need is the address. If you were to right click on the main image at the top of this board and go to properties , you would se...

A day at the range . . .
Unfortunately I haven't been out since. It actually happened a week ago yesterday. Sources for 9x18 ammo are scarce and the guys who do have it are asking upwards of $19 a box of 50! I need to order some online and make sure I order one box of all the different brands I can find. The odd thing is th...

Thinking about a shoulder rig
I'm not a fan of the shoulder holster for the Makarov. As I look into different carry methods for our beloved P-64, I'm actually starting to lean towards a Pager Pal, although I really like the shoulder rig....

Anyone tried the recoil spring fix?
Here is the statemnet from saands regarding the recoil spring fix: So ... I tried the heavier recoil spring (a modified 25# H&K P7 spring) and the problematic P-64 (auto-ejecting the mag due to recoil) no longer displays that behavior with factory loads. The heavier hand loads still cause it to ...

A day at the range . . .
bankerbilly , I'm thinking I should make this a sticky thread as these numbers came straight from the P-64 and NOT a Makarov. Great work and we all thank you. On another note, you should see my spent casing from the Silver Bear 115gr JHP that amd6547 is referring to. The thread is called "Did ...
