I just bought a 1898 martini for SOG all they wanted was my driver license and a singe statement that could sell me the rifle in my state the same with ammo so you don't need and FFLto deal with them but they won't send out flyer's on their stuff unless you have an FFL That sounds like an exception...

This is a three finger grooves, I love it. Found a slip on grip made by Pachmayr, Slip-On Grip Medium w/finger grooves the size is model #3. Good fit and just what I needed. The distance the caseing goes is relative to how fast the slide moves to the rear. Sometime you are using a bolt action rifle, try it. Bring bolt back real slow and the casing will kind of dribble out. Snap that bolt back and watch how the casing flies!
