Reloading for Dummies

Before you invest (not spend) hundreds of dollars on equipment, spend 20 bucks on a Lyman reloading manual. It will answer most if not all of your questions and provide the loading data you're looking for.
Reloading is a hobby in itself.
Enjoy.

new to forum

Welcome to the forum.
It would not be good living just 10 miles from Aim Surplus.

P64 shooting recoil question

There are plenty of folks around here who will tell you the P-64 will rip your hand right off. I'm just missing a thumb due to mine though. Most blow back designs have rather sharp recoil. Considering the 9x18 is marginal for self defense you may want to look at a locked breech design in 9x19. Somet...

Trigger stays forward when hammer cocked - okay?

obvinityel,
The condition you describe is not normal. The trigger should have a short pull when fired in the SA mode, just like your Walther and Makarov.
Apparently bigduke has the same problem.
I don't have the solution to the problem at this time. Maybe someone here has some insight.

AIM has 9x18 guns

cichlid, After the obama election Aim closed the walk in counter. This past summer they reopened the walk in counter on a limited basis. As explained to me by Aim, the walk in counter is open Wednesdays for ammo and accessory sales. The walk in counter is open Thursdays for firearm sales. Both days ...

Crossbreed - Will it fit?

You can also check out the Kholster. www.kholster.com It is very similar to the Crossbreed Supertuck but much more adjustable. If you want to order a Kholster, you can get a 10% rebate using the code 12-2821 in the special instructions box. Kholster lists the PPK. Either the Crossbreed or Kholster c...

Polish P-64 manual ?

dickfunk,
Thanks for the response.
I'm not really looking to get my hands on one.
What I really want is the metric "technical data" that was converted and translated for the English manual.
Specifically bullet weight which should be in grams.
Thanks,
Dave

Polish P-64 manual ?

Does anyone have any original Polish military manuals for the P-64? I'm not looking for the "official" translation just the real thing.
Thanks,
Dave

p-64 firing pin

I just spoke to Harrington Products to arrange a visit to show them a firing pin. I was advised they have purchased a P-64 of their own for a sample and my visit was not necessary. I expressed a need for safeties as well as firing pins. They should be more than capable of producing these. The gentle...

p-64 firing pin

The current plan is to visit Harrington Products next week to show them a sample of a firing pin and safety. I tore down both of my P-64s. One is a 1971 round hammer and the other is a 1976 triangle hammer. Both firing pins were for all practical purposes identical. The 1971 measured 1.837" (46...

p-64 firing pin

I'll be in Indiana next week and within 35 miles of Harrington Products. I could stop by if you don't find a CAD drawing before then. I have both a round and triangle hammer version I could pull samples from. I don't intend to leave any parts with them though. Any thoughts of having them make safeti...
