Re: Recoil
what bothers some is acceptable to others. being 270# and having big hands helps. i found that two strips from a bike tire makes a cheap buffer. what was getting the web of my hand was the split design of the grips. once i eliminated that problem i've enjoyed putting thousands of rounds through it.

mpa protector 380
does any one have any experience with the masterpiece arms protector 380. i'm considering one. it is said the recoil is brutal, which is subjective. since some consider the p-64 to be brutal, i want to compare them. i don't consider the p-64 to be brutal at all, so if the mpa is a little more so, i ...

Re: round count
curly, when you couple the natural pointing with this mod, it is unreal. most of my targets are clods of dirt and 6in. paper plates at 10 to 15 yards. with two handed hold, just put the b-b on the plate, and you're somewhere on the plate. this is probably one of a kind, and i love it.

Re: round count
ya'll got me second guessing my math now  no, the count is somewhere around that. i'm retired and live in the country, so it is easy to just step out the door and pop some off. my 800 yard range calls with a loud voice, if you know what i mean. i shoot some kind of firearm about every day but s...

round count
i wonder how many rounds these p-64s are good for. i shoot mine quite a bit as it is now a truck gun making it handy to stop and pop off a box or two. yesterday when i went to the closet to replenish the truck ammo stock, i noted i have 1050 rounds left, which means i have put a little over 14000 th...

Re: p-64 sights
i'm not the best at photography, but maybe these will help.the reason i know the front sight is threaded and not staked is it worked loose,so i put locktite on it and screwed it back in place;still tight. i haven't paid much attention to cosmetics and such.it has lead a hard life.all i do is shoot th...

Re: p-64 sights
i'd like to take credit for the mods, but it is just like i recieved it. who ever did the work probably used a mill to cut the channel out. if you look close you can see what's left of the rear sight.apparantly the sight was centered, milled out,and then re-blued. a beautiful job. the BB is from a sh...
