Re: Can't find extra magazines?!?
I bought 3 off of gunbroker from genuine-militaria. The guy is in Poland. He responded quickly by email to questions. The mags I got look to be new. $66 including shipping for 3, $22.00 each. Don't be in a hurry though. He only takes cashiers checks or money orders, (Paypal burned him.) It took alm...

do you not use the spring fix?
Same here. When I bought my P-64 it had a lighter hammer spring. It was not reliable when shooting double action and would fail to fire occasionally. I put a factory spring back in it and it has never failed again.

Is the Recoil Really that BAD??
I honestly do not thing the recoil is that bad. I think if you are used to shooting handguns alot you won't mind it. Maybe a new shooter would be surprised at the P-64's snap. It is a small gun. All small guns with similar calibers will have a robust recoil. It's just physics. I think an airweight s...

Unpleasant experience.
My wife uses a pair of padded weight lifters gloves with no fingers. The padding they provide tames the recoil of the P-64 so she can handle it.

cold bluing
I used Birchwood Casey cold blue kit with no experience on a revolver and it came out real nice. I bought a 3 bottle kit consisting of stripper, degreaser and bluing. When applying the blue, heat the gun metal up with a hair dryer to promote the chemical reaction. The cleaner you get the gun metal th...

Input please on 22LR
I am considering getting a Mosquito. I heard they are very finicky about ammo. Have you had any failures from yours? Thanks.dwd wrote: My Sig Mosquito is my favorite semi auto 22 pistol but the AP22 is a very close 2nd.

Question on standard springs
smith2121, My P-64 has all factory springs and works great wtih all 9x18 ammo. The only time I have ever had a failure of any kind is when I got the gun it had the lighter hammer spring installed and I had failures to fire sometimes. I put the factory spring in and the gun has operated flawlessly ev...

It's Here, It's Here!
I noticed it doesn't mention anything about "Makarov". I don't know enough about the P-64s yet to know what, if anything, that means. All the P-64's I've seen have 9x18 Makarov on the side and the import markings under the barrel in front of the trigger guard. Yours is much rarer at least...

It looks like a dandy olympus!
I like those markings on it too, no meantion of "Makarov". They shoot good and true. I carry mine daily.

Hi-Point 9c
I would'nt mind having the lifetime warranted Hi Point carbine if it was dressed up with this aftermarket stock. It only costs $70 and it makes the rifle look pretty nice.

Going to buy a P-64 and have questions...
I've had nothing but great experiences with Silver Bear 9x18 rounds. For carry ammo I use Silver Bear hollow points. I find they feed as well as the SB ball ammo. I have not used the Brown Bear but I'd like to hear opinions about it.

Worst single action trigger I have ever felt
I have a Springfield Champion 45 and the trigger is pretty nice , 3 - 5 lb pull. I can't shoot it as accurately as the P - 64 but that is not a fair comparison in my opinion. Other than a target pistol, not many short barrelled handguns will shoot as accurately as the P - 64.

Fourth of July Shooting Match comments
I thought I had a great target in the works when out of somewhere I got that one flyer! Heck, I nearly missed the paper altogether with the one shot. Nice shooting everyone. This makes for a fun competition among our forum members.
