Re: New owner
Welcome. Change your mainspring to a Wolff spring set for an easier DA pull.

Re: Front sight replacement
Yes, I found it. Looks good. The nice thing about many of the Hi Viz shotgun sights is the ability to switch colors depending on our mood that day. Regarding using epoxy to hold on a fiber optic sight.., don't. In my experience, sooner or later the epoxy fails under recoil and suddenly you have no f...

Re: sight modifications
Yeah, I lost about 80 photos to Photobucket when they changed to more greedy owner / business plan. I dread the day Google / YouTube does the same.

Re: Front sight replacement
Where I live, I just go in my back or front yard and shoot as I wish. Neighbors are far enough away and I have hills and in most directions I own the land on the flight path. So no, this gun hasn't been to a formal range. HOWEVER, I have fired about 2 boxes of ammo through it since the mods were don...

Re: threaded barrel for pa63 or p64???????
I see two solutions. A) flute the chamber with flutes at a 7 degree angle. B) Use a much stiffer recoil (and firing pin, mainspring). I like A as the mainspring is also the trigger spring and who wants a 40 pound trigger pull?

You will also find that while rolling around on the ground with 2 guys trying to smash your skull with a hammer or a rock that unzipping your pants to reach a pistol is problematic. Also they tend to notice that and grab what is in your hand.

Re: Alternative to safes?
A small student type refrigerator with a welded on padlock and hasp should meet your needs. If needed replace the feet with Dolly wheels. Please note the very best gun safw will stop a 10 year old, but none of them will stop a determined 11 year old with access to tools.

Re: Gunsmith/ parts special P64 at Classic
In my opinion once it passed a few hundred for the guns that were broken it became an overpriced item.

Re: Case Rim Damage
These were pistols for military use with non predictable ammunition sources. Reloading the ammunition afterwards is not something the Warsaw Pact envisioned. Reliability of parts function was.

The real problem is the 'establishment' not carrying a good selection of 9x18 ammunition at the local Walmart.
Personally, I would love to see a Winchester Silvertip in this caliber.

Re: New to P64s and jazzed!
None at all. I use this holster and have zero problems. I chose the brand/model I did because the height profile is about as similar as you will find. I ran through a dozen rounds rapid fire yesterday and I am pleased to report the tack weld method described works quite well and the sight stays in p...
