Re: P83 review and analysis
I need to order an IWB holster from either Alien or Crossbreed. What weapon would approximately be close to the P-83?
SAAMI
On page 28 of the SAAMI manual, it states the lenght of a 9x18 Makarov case should be .713-.010. Does anyone know if the -010 means that .010 is a tolerance range to trim the case between .703 to .723? I am confused.

Looking for next step in trimming 9mm brass
I tumbled, deprimmed and resized the brass using the 9x18 die, and just finished expanding the case. Now I am ready to trim with my Lyman case trimmer with the 9x18 pilot. After trimming and checking for proper length, would my next step be charging and seating or do I need to do anything else? Also...

Re: The P-83 in its Motherland!
The P-83 is an awesome pistol. I have one and really like it. I feel that I am picking up a piece of history every time I pick it up.

Re: Trimming the brass
So you use a specific cutter for the 9x18 ? I had the Lee die but results were sporadic.

Trimming the brass
I am having a hell of a time with my first attempt to trim 9mm brass to 9x18 . I have the Makarov trim die for my loader and the Manual cutter and the drill mounted cutter. Each one gives me no constant results. The instructions say trim to I hear no more cutting. I don't hear anything. I trim until...

Re: J&G sales and Classic firearms feedback
I purchased a P-83 from J&G and it surpassed the condition they described. My only issue is that we are both in Arizona so I had to pay the sales tax. Is there a senior citizen discount on sales tax?

Re: "Tear down this wall!"
I just got one last week from J&G. It is in excellent condition. I did the hand pick and extra magazine.
The DA trigger is like night and day compared to my P64.

Re: P-83
I took some of my college savings and ordered one from JG. I can put the funds back for my college next year. Being 68, I figure I have plenty of time to figure out what I want to do with my life.
On a serious note, are there any resources dedicated to the P-83 as there is for the P-64?

Thanks for all the help. I figured out the problem. I wasn't pushing down hard enough when the slide was in the rear position.

Re: Slide very difficult to reinstall
Are you using the Original Recoil Spring or A Wolff Spring? I have Wolf springs but I am using the original. OK so the Original should be fine. One thing to note (I'm not sure if this was mentioned in the video you watched), the Trigger Guard will mar up the Frame. The Trigger Guard will also pop b...
