Re: Safety broke, bought eBay CNC replacements
Installed the replacement safety. Fit, form, and function all seem fine. Installed like the original. Moves easily and both detents have a good snap. The detents do look a bit different than the original, more of a slot or groove than an “eye” shape. I tried to gouge one out a bit more with a file b...

Re: Wolff 18 lb Hammer Spring dangerous
I moved it to the 19lb spring and that seems to be the best for mine. Thanks!

Re: Safety broke, bought eBay CNC replacements
Thanks Weasel640. Thought I read this forum pretty thoroughly. All posts I read mentioned the Safety as a Unicorn, so I went ahead and bought ‘em. At least $8 won’t break the bank. Thanks for the link to Fitting Topic. We’ll see what comes in the mail.

Re: Wolff 18 lb Hammer Spring dangerous
Thanks, GuitarmanNick, for a great summary of your personal Wolff Spring experiences. Please share your thoughts on v5 vs v7 when your new Polish Iron Grips arrive. I’m curious how v7 Beavertail-Yes and Finger Grooves-No compare to the opposite on the v5 grips.

Safety broke, bought eBay CNC replacements
Not much choice, bought 2 of the CNC manufactured Safeties after mine broke. Will report back after installation. Anyone else here have experience with one of these SZKOLNY Safeties from “cruffler58” on eBay?

Wolff 18 lb Hammer Spring dangerous
Bought the whole springs kit. 17,18,19,20 lb Reduced Power Hammer Springs to replace factory 24lb spring. So far, wow, the 18 is a dangerous hair trigger in my 1972! A couple of unintentional firings (safely downrange) It is much lighter when range live firing than it felt when I dry fired it to tes...

V.07 vs V.05 Polish Iron Grips
Has anyone tried the new V.07 grips? I see they have a beaver tail unlike the V.05, and the 7 does not have the finger grooves that the 5 has. Any experience, comparison, opinions?

Re: "Chambered Round" indicator question on reassembly
Thank you Weasel640. Pretty good stuff. 8) Although the 2nd pic says "Make sure the cartridge indicator is facing the right way", it doesn't clearly say or show which is the right way. But, in looking at some other cutaway views and exploded views, it is easy now to see the correct positio...

Trigger pin locks up my slide
Please see pic. When reassembling, the pin shown had slid out a bit to the left. Hung up my slide real good, thought I might have a gunsmith bill in my future. I manhandled the slide off, and was able to rotate this pin to fully seat it. Kinda mad about scratching it in the process. Anyway, it seems...

"Chambered Round" indicator question on reassembly
Disassembled to install Wolff springs, incl Firing Pin spring since it came with my spring kit. Followed the YouTube video, which didn't mention the "chambered round" indicator. You guessed it, I turned the slide over and the little retainer for the indicator/spring tumbled out. And the in...

Re: Anyone Ride a Motorcycle?
Have had a few. Got creamed by a tow truck which broke my Honda CB750F Super Sport in half! Currently 3x Kawasaki. ZR-7S street. KLR 250 Enduro. KE 100 Enduro, cool street legal oil-injected 2-stroke. I believe it was the last street legal two-stroke sold in the US. Previously '73 CB500K 4-cyl, '85 ...
