Thanks for the response guys! I am most likely going to just try the DIY and replace the trigger guard with another one. I was shooting standard FMJ 94 grain Wolf ammunition.

Took out my P-64 to the range earlier this week shooting it for the first time. First 6 rounds went smoothly then came the second mag.
