Re: Hammer not cocking after firing

You sure it actually slamfired? It is very easy to "double-tap" due to the high recoil. The best way to avoid this is holding the trigger back until it is done recoiling, rather than the instinctive reaction of letting it reset as it recoils. It definitely slamfired. I didn't realize it a...

Re: Hammer not cocking after firing

Took it back to the range again yesterday. Still having problems, this time it did slam fire. Good thing I only loaded two rounds max. Looking back at another thread on this forum another member had the same issues and like weasel mentioned above the sear must worn. Where can I find a replacement se...

Re: Hammer not cocking after firing

I took it all apart again to see if I could find any potential issues with worn parts or burs. Weird thing is everything looks as if it is new. I took it to the range again after putting it back together and still have the same problem. It will only fire in double action mode. What should I do at th...

Hammer not cocking after firing

Having an issue with my P64, after every shot a new round will chamber but the hammer is not locking back. This eliminates the single action aspect of the pistol. Has anyone experienced this problem before? I am using PPU ammo and installed the wolff spring upgrades, but I get the same results with ...

Re: Southern Ohio P-64

I paid $280 After shipping. Probably way too much but I am happy with the finish and condition. At this price the cleaning rod should have come with it though. At what year did the hammer change to triangular shape? I got the round version on my '74 and its a little difficult pulling it back for the...

Re: Southern Ohio P-64

Very nice, that's also a good photo. Glad I waited for the new SOG batch. Almost bought one from Classic two weeks ago but something told me to wait. The pistol fits my hand nicely and I can't wait to get some ammo for it. Any good deals out there right now?

Southern Ohio P-64

Hello, new member here and first time P-64 owner. Just received my Excellent Like New P-64 from Southern Ohio Gun and I am pretty happy with it. Looks brand new to me without any wear marks or blemishes. No signs of it ever being fired. It came with the holster and a second magazine, but no cleaning...
