Re: should i buy a p64 from J&g sales or aim surplus

Better try J&G. I had painful P64 purchase from AIM. Had to get rid of the P64s and lost a significant portion of the original purchase price. The pics from J&G seem to be better than what I got. And they are at fair price.

Re: Recent purchase. Bad condition?

Do you guys know how much to ship a handgun? Non licensees are not eligible to ship handguns via USPS. Ups and fedex only accept overnight shipping for handguns. That is very expensive. My local ffl wanted to charge transfer fee to ship it.

Re: Recent purchase. Bad condition?

Yes, they provided another better looking one. I have not fired the new one yet. I am wondering to keep the old one for a discount price or pay to ship it back. How much to fix the problems? Will changing springs work?

Re: Recent purchase. Bad condition?

Fired it at range. Got 5 malfunction out of 25 rounds. The chipped corner is where the slide stops on. When dry circling, the slide can rest on it with an empty mag. When firing, it cannot stop after the last round. The recoil also half dropped the safety and disconnected the trigger mechanism for s...

Carved serial number

Who have seen the serial number carved instead of stamped on the frame? The letters and numbers are not uniform and seem to be hand carved.

Re: Recent purchase. Bad condition?

They can provide another one. But one thing I am not sure is that the serial number on the frame seems to be carved (very irregular) instead of stamped as seen on the pics they send me. What you guys think? Anybody encountered serial number in that style?

Re: Recent purchase. Bad condition?

Thank you guys for your informative replies! The action seems smooth, as least after I lubricated it. I have not fired it yet but examined the feeding and extraction by pulling the slide with loaded mag in. It can feed and extract the unfired cartridges smoothly. The slide rests on the lock level. T...

Ketch an, Thank you for your replies!

Here is the pic of internal of the slide. You can see the corner on the left of the firing pin is broken and exposes shining metal.

Re: Recent purchase. Bad condition?

Why the ejector is red? Is that due to corrosion?
