Re: Not returning to battery

It happens either way - putting in a magazine or letting the slide run forward. If the safety is engaged it's like something is rubbing against the slide causing it to not fully return to battery. I usually keep my safety on and if I load a magazine and pull back the slide it always causes a jam.

Not returning to battery

I am having problems with my P-64. When I try to load with the safety on the slide stops about a quarter inch short. When I have the safety off I have no problems at all. Any ideas what I can do to solve this issue? Thanks.

Re: New Member - New P64 owner - Jamming issues

I have not changed anything on this gun since buying it. Here are some pics. Best I can do at night. I may be able to do better during the day.
Thanks again for any advice.

Re: New Member - New P64 owner - Jamming issues

Sorry for the confusion. The gun is definitely jamming while I am in the process of shooting. I am wondering if it has something to do with the magazines. As I mentioned I can shoot all 6 rounds out of both magazines without any problems. After that the gun jams while shooting. Its as if 12 shots is...

Re: New Member - New P64 owner - Jamming issues

While shooting. Usually the 2nd round of the magazine. The picture above shows the jam after I shot 1 round from the 3rd magazine.

New Member - New P64 owner - Jamming issues

I need some help and I am so thankful for this forum. What a great resource! I have taken my 1972 P-64 to the range 3 times and all 3 times it has done the exact same thing. I have 2 magazines. The gun cycles through both magazines without any problems. After I reload the magazines the problems begi...
