Re: Double action mode, Polishiron grip issues
So I guess for now, my options would be to either get a new trigger bar and hammer, and see if it works without the grips, just as you guys say, so I can continue using the V5. Or just keep the OEM grip which makes the gun functional on both DA/SA mode. Maybe at some point, I would do a full dis-ass...

Re: Double action mode, Polishiron grip issues
Are you suggesting that the grips impeded the trigger bar movement or that pieces of the grip interfered with the lock up of the trigger bar and sear? No sir. What I think happened is maybe the area or part of the grip that keeps the trigger bar in place, may have softened up(?) I dont know if oil/...

Re: Double action mode, Polishiron grip issues
It should function the same with or without grips installed. I'm not sure what exactly you think the grips should be doing? Well, I tried pulling the trigger without the grips, and the trigger bar slid out/jump sideways halfway through. This, to me suggest that the grip plays a part, in holding/kee...

Double action mode, Polishiron grip issues
Hello P64 shooters, been a while since I last visited the forum. First off, this is not to bash the rubber grip made by polishirons, but I feel I need to check with the other users and see if the issue I had just discovered is just an isolated case or if others had noticed it too. I bought the v5 ve...

Re: Polish Iron v.05 grip replacement.
Thanks for looking out for us Russ. Yeah I did have that gap/clearance on my 76 stamped pistol. I didn't pay too much attention to it, but since you discovered that and made mods to later model ones, then I may as well avail of it. Just sent you an email.

Re: Nuts! Launched My Firing Pin/Spring Into Outer Space!
Yes, I've done that. BUT!!! go easy, very easy on your dremel. Just do a touch & go kinda way. What I did was like let tap the area a couple of secs then lift and check, as soon as I saw a feed ramp type of cut on both sides, I used a 1000 grit sand paper and polished the ramp. Instead of replac...

Re: Russ's grips v0.4
Hey Ketchman, if you get the updated one and will not do anything to the version 0.4, I would like to take it off your hand and try it out on my pistol. Of course I will pay for shipping.

Are you saying the spring of the slide lock lever does not push the lever deep enough to release the slide?

Re: P-64 Grip v.05
Good job Russ! While I have not seen any of the grips, mods v.4 or .5 in person to make any suggestions. I wanted to ask you or the testers. Does the grip have a swell or meat added at the back/rear mid to bottom area of the grip? Im looking at both the 64 and the S&W Shield grips, side by side....

Re: Trigger not wanting to engage
No, you dont need to replace the slide stop spring if its working properly. The forllowing pics on that thread posted by Weasel shows how to replace the spring.

Re: Unsafe P64?
Or you could try to polish the disconnector. It seems like when your safety is turned to safe mode, the disconnector is not completely sliding downwards. If the disconnector is halfway up, there is that chance that it would catch the hammer as you cock it. But by not being in its proper position, it...
