Re: My First P-64

Thank you! I give a lot of credit to the quality and inherent accuracy of the pistol. I didn't pull off anything close to these good of groups with the Ruger LCP I was shooting along with this guy. Just for kicks, I went back today with my brother-in-law so he could try out the P64 (he decided to bu...

Re: Are we ever gonna get 9x18 ammo?

FWIW on the cost savings of reloading … 8¢ bullet, 2.5¢ primer, 3.5¢ powder, my once-fired brass = 14¢ round vs 32¢ new in brass cases. 100 rounds in 45 minutes while taking my time and being careful (based on my output of 9mm and 40S&W). If I considered the cost of my time (even though I actual...

Re: Doing all I can not to buy a second P64 ...

Look around you can get a cz-82 for less than $310. You will have to refinish the cz-82 some time in the future. Thank you for the advice. I debated this one for a while and I'm glad to know that the $310 delivered was a little steep. Well, with the $45 I "saved" getting a 2nd P64, I went...

Re: My First P-64

Took my P64 out to the range for the second time today and this was my last grouping at 7 yards (standing, two hands). This little pistol is incredibly accurate. The first five 6-shot groups were all within 3-4" but this one stole the show and was a great way to end the day. Each ring is in 1&q...

Re: My First P-64

Aye - I got a good deal on the Geco 9x18. I try to get ammo by the case when I can just so I cut down on the shipping costs per round. :) I also made sure to get a set of reloading dies and some 95 grain Berry's plated projectiles. Looks like the 9x18 Makarov round can be reloaded (using my own bras...

Re: My First P-64

Sweet! Now you just need a set of Marschal grips. Yes sir! I figured I needed a 2nd for two reasons. One of course was the possibility that another batch of Excellent+ in the near future is no sure thing. The other is so I can take the least pretty of the two and put some different grips on ...

My First P-64

My first P-64 arrived a little over a week ago from AIM Surplus for $275 delivered and is worth every penny. This beauty has lived up to the "Excellent+" description and has proven to be extremely accurate. If you are in the market for a P-64 (or a second one as was just the case with me) ...

Re: Doing all I can not to buy a second P64 ...

OK I've been debating this for 3 full days and I pulled the trigger. Below are pictures of the 1st P64 I received from AIM Surplus a little over a week ago. I don't think I've ever seen a 40+ year old firearm in this great of shape and it lives up to the "Excellent+" condition touted by AI...

Re: Doing all I can not to buy a second P64 ...

What I'm balancing between now is a CZ82 from SOG or a second P64.

The CZ82 seems a tad overpriced (relatively speaking) at SOG, coming out to close to $310 delivered (w/ a C&R license).

Oh decisions decisions...

Re: Doing all I can not to buy a second P64 ...

There is no cure for mosinitis.... Welcome to the family...... Thank you - and you are right! I "accidentally" bought a Type 53 from SOG a week ago as a minor project gun. The stock is nice and beat up but I think it will be fun to restore it a bit. Welcome to the forum Boris. Unlike Mosi...

Doing all I can not to buy a second P64 ...

First off hello everyone … first post to these forums. I received my first P64 about 2 weeks ago from AIM and absolutely love it. The condition is exactly as advertised and I am currently trying my best not to order a second one. This is a pistol I am seriously considering carrying instead of my Rug...
