Thanks for all the welcome messages. Look forward to learning lots. I am in the process of ordering some grips from zee and now I just have to find ammo. Ive never ordered ammo offline. Is it painless? Or is it a PITA?

Oh and I decided to have it parked instead of a re blued. It is a military gun and I thought a good park will look great on it. And a lot cheaper than a gloss blue job.

I was helping a friend pick out his 1st 1911 andwhile he was browsing I saw an ugly little ppk looking gun with what like was covered in spray paint on one side and actually nice bluing on the other side.
