Re: the remarkable p-64
I too was pleasantly suprised at what a great little gun this is. First is the uncanny accuracy. It outshoots my bigger guns with longer barrels. I feel confident when I am carrying this pistol that I will hit what I am pointing at. I have the lighter springs also and have a functional (barely) DA. ...

Re: 99% of the time the reason these guns don't work
CRC brake parts cleaner is your friend for wood or metal. For wood I spray it on and wipe right away with paper towels. Quick and easy.

Re: HOW ACCURATE-AGAIN
I had one of those days today, my normally very accurate P64 was having lots of fliers, then I picked up my P1. Same thing! My girl next door came over hearing me shooting and joined in and showed me how to bulls eye with the little gun and the big one. I will try again tomorrow.

Re: P64 shoulder holster
I purchased a shoulder holster from Laukart on gun broker. He had two and I got one. It is an original issue and is nice, total cost $30.
Check GunBroker and look at his other listings, there may be one left.

Re: Ammo mix up?
In defense of CTD they most certainly do post negative reviews. I have never given them one becauseI have never had a reason. I read some very bad and incorrect reviews of the 92 grain Mak ammo they sell which I have used for years with no problems. It is not hard to see thru some of these reviews a...

17# mainspring and DA
I just installed my 17lb mainspring and am happy. DA is now possible but still tough and my SA trigger is even nicer so my little pistol just got even more accurate. I am now very happy and the "Spit Fire" works flawlessly, the hammer is plenty strong enough for a good imprint on the prime...

Re: Saftey ON or OFF ..... CC'in
I agree with Frank on this one. The double action trigger is not likely to get pulled accidentally and the auto safety ( half cock) functions well.
safety off one in chamber on this gun and most of the rest of my semi auto's.
Frank knows ( being a cop, what works)
Don't drop your pistol!!

Re: Rough DA pull -Update
I field stripped and looked at the disconnector where it contacts the trigger bar and cannot see how that can cause the problem I am having. I can pull the disconnector away from the bar and it makes no difference. Just looking at mine it seems to be in the design of the gun and I can see no way tof...

Re: Rough DA pull -Update
Ok, I thought about this for a while, and since I didn't want to get too drastic with it I put a little valve grinding compound on the problem area and dry-fired it a few hundred times. Smooth as glass after cleaning it up good and seems to have no problem resetting the trigger. Easy and safer than...

Re: trigger guard
I also get a good grip on the little pistol, I pull down with my support hand to help tame the recoil. What is with the MAK caliber? I get a lot of recoil with my CZ82 also but it is bigger and easier on the hand.

Unless I am so close that a hit is guaranteed I use the front sight as is taught by "FRONT SIGHT" one of the major training facilities.
