Re: 9x18 Revolver
Is the gun, in the 9x18 caliber, have a cylinder that is made to hold rimless cartridges? If not, they better have some moon clips to go with it.

Re: Ammo mix up?
I know that the Soviets specifically designed the Makarov cartridge to be incompatible with Parabellum weapons, but it looks like they took this a step further. I was just comparing the cartridge diameters: 9x18 9x19 Bullet Diameter 9.22 9.01 Neck Diameter 9.91 9.65 Base Diameter 9.95 9.93 Rim Diam...

Man, I would not mess around with it much. Unless your a trained gunsmith who knows what he is doing, you just might ruin your pistol. JMHO.

Re: trigger guard
My hand are so large that I have to wrap my pinky finger under the butt of the gun. There is no way I can get three fingers on that front strap. I don't seem to get my fingers "beat up" that way and have more room for the two fingers that are on the front strap of the grip.

Re: What shoulder holsters fit the P64?
Man, I have both pistols and when I place one on top of the other, there is not hardly any difference in the trigger guards that I can tell. My P-64 is curved down a little lower than the Walther, but not that much.

Re: Saftey ON or OFF ..... CC'in
I carry mine with one in the tube, and the safety on. I practice drawing, pistol unloaded of course, and flicking that safety off enough that it is relatively smooth and does not hurt. I keep one in the chamber and safety on because thats how the gun was made to function. BTW, I carry it in a Galco ...

Re: 12-year Mosin sporter
You did some pretty good work on your Mosin. Mine has a laminated stock that is really stunning, so I think I will leave mine all original. If I did not have the laminated stock, I might think about it.

Re: Hornady Critical Defense Initial Feed Issue
I must have got lucky with mine. I ordered two boxes of the Hornady 9mm Makarov ammo and ran twelve rounds thru mine without a hitch. It seems to burn cleaner than the Silver Bear HP's I usually use in these guns. Wish it was as cheap as the Silver Bear!

I have been doing some checking on this type of falure, and it does not seem to be a common occurance. I will keep an eye on mine though.

Re: Broken trigger guard......
Good reference pictures guys! That got me to thinking so I went and checked mine out, but as far as I can tell all looks OK. Do you think a weak recoil spring could make this part on the trigger guard take an abnormal amount of abuse?

Wow, that is quite a modification on the sights! Who would have thought a "revolver" style sight arrangment would work on this gun? Nice pictures buddy!

Re: Holsters for P64 that work for me
I pocket carry, ankle carry, and IWB carry my P-64 depending upon my dress at the time and where I am going. I don't prefer OC, but have OC'ed other handguns at certain times. I IWB carry my P-64 in a Galco rig that was made for a Kahr, but it fits the Polish gun well.

Re: How to make your own replacement magazine springs
Thanks heavyduty77 for that tip! Welcome to the site. I am kinda worried that, eventually, one will not be able to find anything for the P-64 pistols. Better stock up now.

Welcome to the site! I know what you mean about the heavy DA trigger pull, but I have gotten used to mine. I can still hit my mark with mine, even with that heavy pull. Practice is the cure for the heavy DA pull, well at least it has been for me. Good luck and again, welcome.

Re: Found magazines for the P64
They're a bunch of swindlers. Taking the magazine out that should have been with the gun anyway only to sell it separately so they can make some more dough off of it. Seems like a bunch of crap to me. Yup, thats about right. I used to deal with a FFL guy until I found out he was doing that sort of ...
