When you say you tore it down, you weren't kidding! I have been learning a lot about the P64 here, and it's helped me do what little I've done to my gun. I don't know if I feel comfortable enough to take it all the way down to the frame though.

I've noticed the prices fluctuating on the P64 as much as $50. I plan on getting at least one more, along with another Mosin Nagant. They are both addictive it would seem.

I had this same issue happen to me last night. I successfully launched the detent, and then performed the dreaded gunsmith crawl. Luckily I found it. I got the safety put back together after a lot of foul language, but it wasn't until just now that I saw this thread. I'm a glutton for punishment, ma...
