You might want to send Norm a PM to see what he sez .... I dont use that powder and if you have not used that load in you p-64 ether you might want to ask .... I think the .2 grain will be OK but it's not my firearm ..... But if Norm sez it's a medium load I think you will be fine ..... Ask Him First

Have you shot the 3.8 grains before and was there any signs of over pressure ...... ?

Eat Wheaties ? Sorry I had to .... If this is you first pistol that breaks down like this it takes time and a kinda learning curve I found ..... Yes the heavier spring will be more difficult to break down ...... I pull mine apart in about 5 seconds now and I'm not in a hurry ..... Just rushed ..... ...

The answer to your main question is all of the above because they work together as a system. Just to clarify I don't leave loaded mags in my safe for weapons not in use but my carry and home defense pieces are loaded and at hand and ready to go at all times for long periods of time until I swap them out. ????? Why ........ It won't hurt the spring(s) ....... Loading on the run is not fun ....
