I saw a video using hemostats to grab the firing pin to unload the detent pin...I was hesitant to use stats on the pin for fear of scarring the firing pin....Am I stoopid, or just paranoid..??..

The inflator needle seems to work good. I think most anything with a small hole in the end would work good... You could probably take a punch of a small diameter and divot a hole in the end of it to hold the pointed tip of the detent. That certainly helps. A trim nailset from Home Depot sounds like...

yep someone filed it down Ladies/Gents, Purchased my first on Wednesday and have already benefited from this sight, even prior to registering....Thanks to all... My p64 also has a problem with the decocker and the seller showed me where someone had filed the disconnector down, as above, it seems......
