Re: The Finished Version of My P64
I do like it. However I'm not sure what the FAB grip is.

The Finished Version of My P64
So I think I'm finally happy with what I have, and I can stop tinkering around with it. I have replacement trigger and slide stop springs from normsutton, the Polish Iron V.05 Grip, and my magazine release. I haven't had a lot of time with it yet, but the springs and grip are great. As long as they ...

Re: Got Myself a New Project
So it shot fairly well. I had one fail to extract and the mag didn't seem to have the pressure to engage the slide hold. Other then that it worked without a problem and its more accurate than I was shooting I think. IMG_20150308_014306.jpg I was shooting at the left side of the black mark at 15 yard...

Re: Got Myself a New Project
So I will test the aftermarket mag this weekend. It needed a little filing on the catch hole to get it to stay latched, but it wasn't a big deal. Quality seems OK. Other then that I quickly made a grip panel for it. I think I made the pattern resolution a little fine because some of the pattern came...

Re: My P64 Let Me Down Today
Everything checked out. Springs were good. Nothing missing, nothing jamming it up. I think it had something to do with the safety. But like I said I will be able to do more testing after getting the new pin.

Re: My P64 Let Me Down Today
So after going through my brass, I found the one 9mm mak case from the day. IMG_20150222_100015773.jpg It looks to me the firing pin was being held out and when the slide closed it pushed the pin right through the primer and into the back of the case. If I would have been using brass boxer primed ca...

Re: Got Myself a New Project
I didn't get to test with a mag yet, but I have one of the aftermarket mags coming. I did put about 20 rounds through it one at a time and other than one stove pipe it functioned perfectly. When it gets a little warmer I can sit down and really see how accurate it is, but after this test I don't thi...

My P64 Let Me Down Today
So I went out to do a little shooting today. I had the sights to check on my M&P, and test the function of the Vis35 project I'm working on. And I figured I would keep up with a little practice of my P64 seeing as its my primary carry. I loaded it up, racked the slide and noticed the slide didn'...

Re: Got Myself a New Project
So the initial 1 shot range report. (I have no magazine and only one 9mm laying around.) It worked perfect so far. I'm a little surprised, mostly because the firing pin that came with an extra slide I bought was screwed up and bent. So the new one I made was a little bit by a guess. But it fired and...

Re: Got Myself a New Project
Look what I've finally pieced together. With patience I managed to piece together the whole thing fairly affordably. I still plan on building a complete custom one. It will take time, but its been a fun project so far.

Re: P-64 Extended Mag Release
I feel this brings great opportunity. I've been curious of people reviews of the mag release after long term use. Of course opinions can be different depending on type of use. I would like to hear reviews from anyone who owns one of my mag releases. I know I cant make everyone happy, but I still wan...
