Re: P64 drop safe
Do a search, IIRC there have been at least two reports on this forum of a P-64 AD when dropped. Parts wear was likely to blame.

Re: Double action mode, Polishiron grip issues
When I first put my Houge Handall over my aftermarket grips I had this very problem. The pressure from the handall squoze the right grip tight against the trigger bar and the hammer wouldn't fall when I pulled the trigger. I had to file down the inside of the grip so it would clear the trigger bar.

Re: Review (kinda) of KeepShooting P64 Mags
My KeepShooting.com mag works great. Must be the luck of the draw. That doesn't counter my point, in fact it reinforces it. QC means there shouldn't be -any- luck involved at all. No counterpoint, just reporting my experience. (and yes, you are correct. We seem to associate "quality" with...

Where did you find a fixed sight for your IJ-70? I had a source but they stopped making them before I could order one (BCA Industries?).

I only have the 4 9x18s I listed above, no Tokarev unfortunately. I was saving up for one when the price of 7.62 x 25 went through the roof and bought something else instead. Yours looks like a very nice example.

Re: What is your favorite 9x18/Comm Bloc/ milsurp pistol & w
Tough one, I'm going to cheat. Here are the roles I use mine for: P-64 for concealed carry & trail running. Definitively gets the most use. East German PM for fit, finish and "collect-ability" (for lack of a better term). Puts the biggest smile on my face at the range for some reason. ...

Re: weapons used in self defense
I suspect the majority of self-defense cases where a gun is employed by the almost-victim never even get reported to law enforcement. e.g. "I drew my weapon and the assailant ran away" will only bring you under scrutiny in many parts of the country. Difficult to collect data on what isn't ...
