Re: Think a 22lr isn't lethal? Think again.

I think the .22LR is a good cartridge. Cheap, and as has been said, is lethal. I agree with dfunk though, comparing the .22 LR to the .223 Rem or 5.56 Nato is apples to oranges. I sort of see what was being pointed out, but it's still different at the same time. 22LR Bullet: 40 grain Speed: 1260 fps...

Re: Any one us Hornady XTP 95 gr HP 9x 18

I haven't shot the XTP's but have read good things about them. One feller did a review on YouTube comparing the XTP and the Silver Bear HP's. Welcome scooter1! I would only use my reloads in my CCW as do a good number of other folks on this forum. I have heard the rumors of the court systems but the...

Re: grrr..this damn gun!

s10nova, I have been messing with mine and can't get it to do what yours is doing. I've held the disconnector in place with my finger at various points to see if the hammer would go back a short way, then fall, but it always goes back properly or the trigger gets impossible to pull any harder. I wou...

Re: Slide locked back

Stuff like this can and does happen to every brand of ammo. It really doesn't matter the manufacturer, when they're putting out thousands upon thousands of rounds out a day, it is only a matter of time before something happens. I personally have not experienced a factory round with an issue but I ha...

Re: Slide locked back

Bummer dude. Sorry to hear that the barrel is indeed bulged. There was no other idea that I could think of other than that. You'll have some spare parts now when you buy a new one.

Re: Slide locked back

Does it appear that the slide lock isn't bound up? Check for that and the barrel condition.

Re: Slide locked back

I'm thinking hard on what would make the trigger guard itself not to move. I'm not seeing a bound spring causing something like that. I took a gander at mine. If the slide is all the way back, the trigger guard cannot move because the slide is up against the lug of the trigger guard. I don't believe...

Re: P64 RECOIL

I agree with snailman. I have used both springs by switching them out at the range. Didn't notice much difference in felt recoil. Both fling the cases a long ways. Only way to remedy the cases is to buy or MAKE a brass catching device. I posted a topic on here somewhere about one I made for cheap!. ...

Re: Odd safety on a P-83

HG, the safety is also a decocker. Just like the P-64. When you move the safety to cover the red dot (putting it on SAFE) it will cause the hammer to fall but it will not strike the firing pin. What you are describing is normal operation.

Re: New guy here just saying hello

It can be done. I would agree with the other posts that it would be best to use a snap cap. The safety in these guns seems rather brittle. Folks have broken the safety by dry firing but I'd really say it was probably already weak in the first place and possibly would have ended up breaking down the ...

Re: Survival flashlight

Ketchman, you are correct. I don't recall if they only did a special run on them and then quit. Either way, I can't stand their show on TV. The people they deal with are pretty dumb and the employees are usually babies. I'm sure it's all in the name of TV drama but I highly doubt I would want anythi...

Re: What would you carry?

A rubberband gun. You can hurt someone with real guns. ;) Probably my 1911 or Beretta 92. However, the P-64 would be a smaller choice but if it's OC, then a larger caliber would probably be best.

I agree. Those are some real good pictures with a camera phone. I have to work hard with my junky Olympus on macro mode just to get half-way decent pictures. Sheesh!

Re: Unlocking Slide

With no magazine in the gun, the slide will never come back and lock in the rear position. With an empty magazine in the gun, the slide should lock back to the rear when fully pulled back. If the slide is not locking back with an empty magazine, I would say there is an issue with either the slide lo...
