Another reloading question
So far I'm seeing 95 grains is the biggest cast bullet from MidwayUSA. http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?productNumber=319163 I'd probably add some tin, antimony, or both to your soft lead. The only bullet casting I've done was for my .50 cal muzzleloader. I was using the same composition as the...

Sight Paint
I just wanted to share my experience with using model car paint to fix up a front sight so you can discern it from your target. I'm sure others have used similar techniques to include using nail polish. I think this method is very good since it is very luminescent in daylight conditions and still pr...

Sellier & Bellot 95g?
As NORM said, the S&B loads Winchester stuff. If you buy the Winchester Metric brand ammo, you can often times find brass with Winchester and S&B headstamps in the same box. S&B is good stuff (Czech-made I believe). That's a pretty average price on the Brown Bear.

Money orders are relatively simple. You can go to your bank, post office, Wal-Mart, just to name a few places. I think the postal ones have a better guarantee. Anyway, you just go in to wherever you're going to buy one, tell them you want a money order and for the amount. They'll print it up for you...

WELCOME THREAD AND MEM, INFO
I joined a couple days ago. About two weeks ago my wife and I were at Gander Mtn. in Wichita, KS when she saw the P-64 on sale for $199.99. I sure did eye it since that was a pretty decent price. Needless to say, I gave in and bought it, for my birthday ;). I joined this group to be able to see all ...

I've been experimenting with tooling leather, I don't think it will ever get old. A holster here, a holster there, once you've done a couple, you've done them all. Tooling is pretty much all original and no two are ever even remotely the same. Here's a couple pictures of stuff I've done. I still nee...

new to me
I put the 17# in mine. I can't comment on what my trigger pull is now since I don't have a way of measuring it, however, it is a VERY noticeable difference. I went shooting with it yesterday and did not have a single hickup. I shot Norinco non-corrosive ammo in it. I only shot 50 rounds, but not a o...

A stamped on frame???
I think all of them have this mark. All of them that I have seen on the internet, to include mine, all have it. I am guessing it's a form of proof mark, or manuf. stamp. Sorry I can't help much more than this. If I find out anything more, I will reply.

loaded round pin????
The sloped side is toward the firing pin. The top of the slope is against the top of the slide. The pin is only supposed to protrude .100" to the rear, that info is straight from the manual.

Recoil spring questions...
I shot mine yesterday and it did alright. I used some Norinco non-corrosive ammo. All 50 rounds fired perfectly and cycled perfectly. I have the 20# recoil spring and the 17# hammer spring. I know, I know that some folks don't recommend the 17# hammer spring due to it possibly not firing certain Rus...

Originally Browning, MO. Air Force has decided I need to live in Wichita, KS right now. However, it'll probably be Columbia, MO here in the next 7 months as I will have fulfilled my 6-year commitment to the service and will be separating.

Gander Mountain P-64 for sale
Any reloaders here? How do you collect your brass? My pistol launches it into the next county. I have used a brass catcher attached to my shooting hand but that is PITA. I guess have your wife, kid, or a friend stand next to you with a butterfly net! Haha. I wouldn't know of anything better than wh...

They look real nice. You might try using waxed thread instead of artifical sinew, and give an overstitch wheel a try - you might find that it makes your stitches more even. Keep it up! Were you replying to my stuff, I couldn't tell? If you were, I use waxed nylon thread, heavy stuff (Tejas Brand) f...
