Re: Polish P 64 mags
For those that purchase these mags, would appreciate a posting of your assessment as to how these mags hold up. Reason being, I purchased some aftermarket P-64 mags several years back from the "Cheaper Than Dirt" website, and they were crap. After about 100 rounds, there were bulges on the...

Re: Any Mosin Nagant fans?
Dang Junius, that's good shooting!
Appreciate the elevation info in your 2nd paragraph too. That said, assume winds were calm when you shot that day?

Re: S&W 29-2 Serial Number
Thanks JAGGUY. Was able to do some digging on that site and found a link to another site that broke down the serial numbers by model numbers. Looks like that serial number was made around 1981.

S&W 29-2 Serial Number
Gents, I'm considering the purchase of an S&W 29-2, with serial number "N800952". With that, any info regarding the year it was sold? Thanks in advance.

Re: M1 Carbine
Nice firearms Papabear, and nice shooting too. I have the same "bite" problem with my RIA 1911 that you mentioned with your Llama. When I shoot the RIA at the range, I wear an old leather cop glove on my shooting hand...problem solved. I purchased a Garand a while back thru CMP. Was hoping...

Re: S&W Model 13
Thanks PB. You have some beautiful examples of this pistol!
I was outbid, so will continue to look at the various websites, and gunshows in the local area.

S&W Model 13
I'm considering a S&W Model 13-2 purchase. It's a 357 magnum, 3” pinned barrel, with a recessed cylinder and round butt. The serial number is 5D12XXX. No box or papers. Seller said it's in 98+% condition, original bluing, good lock up and timing, and only a very faint drag line on the cylinder. ...

Re: Any Mosin Nagant fans?
Cabela's had them on sale a while back for $99, so I got two of them. I converted one into a hunting rifle by adding a Monte Carlo stock. In the picture, the bottom rifle is not a finished product - I removed the front iron sight and added a Bushnell's scope and viola - an (inexpensive) hunting rifl...

Re: New Rock Island Armory MS 45 ACP
Will a RIA "Government Model" (5 in barrel) accept a standard Colt or non-Colt 7 round 1911 magazine, with no feeding problems?

Re: Not Guns, but!
Dick, thank you for responding in a professional manner to Hobe Sound's extremely unprofessional post. I've had the pleasure of knowing and working with numerous Army personnel throughout my military career, and I've never experienced from any of them the negativity that Hobe Sound displayed...not t...

BTW Hobe Sound, apologies for stealing your thread. However, I needed to provide some clarification and correction to J.T. regarding his posts.

Re: Not Guns, but!
I think the Marines have a nice looking outfit, however, I don't much like their weird pants. Blue with red stripes??? First of all, the color of the stripe is scarlet, not red. The scarlet-colored stripe worn on the outside seam of the blue trousers of Non-Commissioned Officers and above in the Un...

Re: Reloading for Dummies
Thanks Norm. The 8th edition of the ABC's of Reloading just hit the streets, so I purchased that version. Also picked up the 49th edition of the Lyman Reloading Handbook. Now to read and get smart on this.
