Wolff Spring Issue
thanks I'll give it a try! I know it's shorter when uncompressed that's why I thought there was no way it would be "too long"!!!! Wow, that's really odd. I'll give it a shot and see what happens...thanks!

Silver HP feed issues
Has anyone else had issues with the Silver Bear HP feeding in their P64? I've run about 300 rounds of S/B Bear FMJ without issue. I have also put through about 60 rounds of the Hornady HP without issue. Today I gave the SB HP a shot with 50 rounds. I had 3 FTF and 2 FTE with the stuff - a 10% failur...

Wolff Spring Issue
I ordered the following from J&G: 1 x P64 Wolff recoil spring. Extra Power (7-2140) = $7.95 I went to the range today and tried swapping it there to compare the original vs. the Wolff. The Wolf was a little shorter than the original, the opposite of another post I read where it was too long. HOW...

Ammunition
Sportsmans guide as mentioned has great prices and quite a lot in stock it seems. I have ordered from them once before (brown bear, silver bear and hornady HP) - good transaction and quick shipping. I have another larger order on the way of Silver Bear.

Aftermarket magazine
I haven't seen any aftermarket magazines, if you know where to find them...let us know. Thanks! I just ordered some original magazines from J&G though.

Racking the slide with the safety on?
I do all the time as I carry with one in the chamber and safety on. If you gently let the slide back it does take that extra push. If you let it fly, it's fine. My Stoeger Cougar is the same way and it's a new gun. I wouldn't worry about it unless someone else here has a horror story about it.

Guns spotted
No doubt Walther PPK for Cruise, especially in the scene where he racks the slide on the desk. In WWII they were the .32 variety. When you have a budget like they do for a major motion picture with Tom Cruise, you spend the extra cash and be authentic with Walther. There may have been a PP as well, ...

After more rounds with it and another thorough cleaning, the DA lightened enough to feel comfortable and I don't want to alter the SA at all (unless it were slight heavier....not lighter!). The recoil is actually taming a little too and I'll keep the stock springs as well. Vodka, what did you do to ...

Thanks, I have one box of silver and one of brown to try out. As long as the brown feeds well in my 64 I'll probably order more and save a little $$. Thanks!

I ran about 30 rounds of Horandy through. I have 45 left. I'll order another box or two and "make sure"....good point. I did that with my XD with Winchester HP and Hornady PDX1. Thanks for the info on Brown bear, I wasn't really sure if it was worth the extra $. One question though, doest ...

1971 P64, other gun is a Springfield XD 9mm SC. Wow! This little P64 is fun to shoot, a little hard on the hands and the DA is really stiff but manageable with my right hand. I may change some of the springs though, no doubt the recoil spring. This thing was also pretty accurate, actually it I shot ...

US ATTEMPTS TO RE-DEFINE SWITCHBLADES
Actually, Tom Gresham on GunTalk had a good observation about this. Customs is actually the only agency that has defined switchblades at the federal level. As such, many local jurisdictions base their interpretation of what a switchblade is based on Customs' interpretation. This could trickle down t...

Anyone tried this ammo before?
Nope, I'm thinking that Glaser "safety" ammo is more for the safety of the bad guy. This stuff may be great if you come across a snake and need to shoot it with a 9x18. I just can't see it doing much damage. Maybe it would within 3 feet or so, I wouldn't carry it for any reason whatsoever....
