I do like the new grips that you made for the P-64 pistols. Excellent,

Re: Got the new Russian red Zee grips!

Zee does do nice work! I have both the regular stock grips like yours in the Russian Red and the right hand thumb rest. I enjoy both styles. Sgt P.

Re: Best IWB

Just received my Oak finished P-64 IWB holster from Dick at US Gun Leather. It fits my P-64 very well and trying it on with some of my summer weight shorts have found it to be comfortable, easy to conceal and it holds my P-64 pistol securely. I have worn many holsters over the years and this ...

Re: Thanks to this board, I was able to install my new sprin

Yeah I have huge hands and fingers, so it is tough for me to grab many of the small pins. I tried using small forcepts to old the pin ends and it did help me out. Glad that the Mrs is a nurse so I had a source after she had to buy new forcepts.

Re: Thanks to this board, I was able to install my new sprin

Guys, Besides doing the smaller parts work in a plastic bag, which is a great idea by the way. Thanks Norm. We used to find an old white sheet and put it around or under our work stations when we were rebuilding our pistols, M-4s or machine guns while as an armorer in the military. That way if a sma...

Re: My Tokarev, new pics.

CZWOLF, Superb new grips for the Tokarev. Bet it feels a little better than the standard issue Tok grips that came with the pistol. Bet the stippled smaller oval sections of the grips work to hold your hand in a better natural hand-hold position. I now need a pair for my old workhorse Russian T-33. ...

Re: Grip Screw/Nut Rust

ShinerJohn, Got the same problem here. One thing that we used in the desert overseas, was to clean the screws/nuts, misc parts the best we could, then use a Sentry Solutions Marine tuff-cloth. See: http://www.theruststore.com/Tuf-Cloth-P67C18.aspx?gclid=CLu-jZmF_6ACFRSgnAodcWHvtw But you can usually...

Re: Manufacturing Black Powder

Yeah my Pop was a custom black powder rifle maker in VT. I remember the day when he came in from the shop and was visibly shaken by some news that his friend, a cannon maker in CT had given him. He said that one of the owners of pyrodex and his assistant were killed when one of their new formulas we...

Re: combat masterpiece

Anjdrifter, super nice old model 15 revolver. I carried one for years and never had any problems qualifying with mine on the CATM ranges. In fact I missed the boat when the Air Force offered these revolvers to the SPs that carried them. I had the chance to buy the one that I carried in Korea, but si...

Re: Do you take your P64 jogging?

Vimes, I would have to agree with Robalan about the weight issue. I started carrying my Baby Browning in a kydex neck rig but that even bothered me after several miles. I finally converted my old military camelbak small pocket to put a Walther TPH in just in case. I took out the zipper closure and a...

Re: Anyone store in a Jeep?

What is did was similar to the ammo can lock up but I mounted an old lock box that we stored small pistols in when our armoury was changing over to the M-9s. It took a few trys to get it mounted in an area under the drives seat of the Wrangler, but once in it worked out really well. Now betwe...

Boomer, You mean the  Toyota neck whip-lash excelleration, can't stop, smash and burn team. I got into my brother's wifes Toyota and asked them for a crash helmet, an all over front-side-back air bag, fireproof suit plus a $1,000,000 life insurance policy so the Mrs could pay off all the bills...

Re: Buffalo Bore 9X18 Coming Soon

I think that if a gun maker like S & W can make a revolver like the J-frame to shoot a +P round then it is a matter of metalurgy if the weapon can stand the stress. Having seen M-16 rifles come apart due to problems in their mfg, or problems with hot loads, it leaves me to believe that any weapo...
