Romanian TTC Tokarev pistol

Hello Dom! I'm very taken with your Romanian/Polish Tokarev Safety Plug! I know that there are a LOT of people out there who would lay down good money to get a plug to replace that mickey mouse (no offense to mickey) safety! Several GunBroker Sellers I've talked to are VERY interested! Joe Bartelt u...

Source of New P-64 Magazines

Hi Yukoncharlie....I don't know what to say. Maybe different ammo? Some difference in the guns? My P-64 is a high serial number from late 1977 and was unfired when I got it.....I shoot Silver Bear FMJ, Silver Bear HP and Hornady Critical Defense. All feed flawlessly from all 4 of my magazines. I got...

Source of New P-64 Magazines

Hello Fellow P-64 Folks! I just stumbled on to a very good source of NEW P-64 Polish Magazines....I was able to get several for my P-64 from another source, direct from Poland in July, but they were out....So when my son got a new P-64 from Military Gun Supply recently, he needed extra magazines...H...

New springs didn't seem to help trigger much.

I, too, had a problem with the 22# recoil spring being just a wee bit long. Gentle grinding(flattening) of the ends was a grind-try-grind-try until it fit.....These guys on the Forum are RIGHT! The difference in felt recoil is amazing! I can put 2 boxes of Silver Bear through my P-64 with none of th...

New owner and some questions

Howdy cmstigerscoach! I too share your concern about parts, but that did not slow me down from grabbing a new 1977 P-64 from I.O.Inc last summer. After finding a factory-new Kel-Tec PF11 unreliable for a carry piece (it literally started coming apart after 32 rounds-factory was shocked I tell you, s...

Hogue Handall Jr. Success!

I just did the boiling water pre-heat of the Handall Jr. and on it went. It was a bit tight and I had to work one side, then the other, but boy, is it ever nice! GREAT idea, Guys!......Thanks! DesertDave ;D

Ammunition

BTW, I have read a LOT about people not being happy with Wolf FMJ in their P-64's...Is there any kind of poll on that? I have shot a couple boxes w/o incident, but I have heard of, shall we say, "quality control" issues of apparent overloads. I have to say, that while Silver Bear is dirty ...

Hi Guys! I like Palmetto State Armory for my Silver Bear FMJ! Priced right and shipping is flat-rate $12/1000 rounds! They have active-inventory control,so if it lets you order it, they have it on the shelf. They plan on carrying Silver Bear HP soon, but here is the link to Silver Bear FMJ http://ww...

Filing 20# Spring and FP Spring

I got the 22# Wolff spring and like so many others have written, I could NOT reassemble the gun because it was too long.....Went to the shop and carefully ground both ends down a little at a time.....After the third trip to the grinder, I had it! Now to go test it with the 22# recoil spring......Tha...

issues during first visit to range

Hi! My first experience with my P-64, a new, unissued 1977 model, was exemplary. I used Silver Bear FMJ as well as Silver Bear HP intermixed with no problem whatsoever. I was able to get 2 ;D ;Dextra new magazines from Dave Meyer (seattlefungus@covad.net) up in WA state (two new ones for $39 deliver...

20lb Wolf Recoil Spring, Had to file down the ends

Hi Guys! I followed Norm's instruction to the T on the hammer spring. I used a 19# Wolff and it makes DA tolerable and single action GREAT......Now for the 22# recoil spring. YEP, mine is too long for my 1977 P-64 (triangular hammer). Out to the shop I go.....DesertDave :)

The Buy Sell Trade board

Hi Guys! Sounds fair to me! By the way, ZEE (aka Shawn R.) is just a little behind on his grip work. I ordered a set of "commie-red" for my 1977 P-64 and he said he was expecting resin soon.....So, if you are like me, just sit tight.....He is working as fast as he can.....DesertDave ;D
