Safe Carry with chamber loaded?

Though I do not have a c.c. at this time, my stock p-64 with the factory springs has such a heavy pull I dont see how it could be an issue having a round in the chamber with the hammer at rest. The trigger pull is extremely heavy and I have often wondered if this was designed that way with just that...

I agree with Stan. I bought a p-64 after shooting one because everyone complains about the recoil. hairypolack, Accept my apology for jumping to conclusions about target practice. Since the bird was taken and eaten as game I have no quarrel with you. I'm not a tree hugger or with Peta. But as an avid off-roader and gun hobbist such action probably wasn't the best thing you could do for target practice. Not trying to cause a fuss Everyone needs to think before pulling the trigger.
