Re: P-64 Extended Mag Release
I have had mine installed for about a month now. I am very impressed with the overall quality of the part. One handed magazine drops are now easy, although I did have to file out a small notch in the bottom of the grips in order to be able to pull back far enough on the release lever. Now it works s...

Re: P-64 Extended Mag Release
I installed mine today! It was already professionally blued when it arrived, and it looks great. After I installed it, I had to file a slight relief notch in the bottom rear of the factory grips in order to be able to pull the catch back far enough to let the magazine drop free, and now it functions...

reassembly tips?
Well, once again I have answered my own question, it seems. ::) I found the assembly manual posted here. Great stuff. Just can't say enough about this site. Thanks.

reassembly tips?
So. Here I've got my P-64 laid out in front of me, stripped down to its component parts. Once I got the safety back together I figured I was about home free. I was wrong. I know what needs to happen here, I just don't seem to have the manual dexterity to pull it together. Near as I can tell, it seem...

Sometimes, nothing happens
I had a similar problem. Trigger goes back, gun no go bang. I took it apart, and here is what I found. When the hammer bar passes the disconnector, the disconnector is supposed to ride up freely to allow the hammer bar to engage the sear. What was happening was that the disconnector would occasional...

can't put slides back on after soaking in diesel!!
No, I figured out what it was -- the slide stop had popped outward. Would have been real easy to figure out if I hadn't panicked, but I had convinced my wife that these were a good deal, and then I had them laying in pieces on the kitchen table, and yeah. Same thing happened when I got my SKS: the f...

can't put slides back on after soaking in diesel!!
Well. Okay. Problem solved, I reckon? Both slides are resting comfortably now atop the frame. I put an empty magazine in each gun, took it out, and the slides went back on like butter. Panic attack over, but still mystified.

can't put slides back on after soaking in diesel!!
Took delivery of two P-64's this week. Last night I soaked them in diesel. This morning I tried to put them back together, but the slides will not seat back down on either gun. I had them apart a couple times before soaking them, it took a little finesse to get the end of the slide over the muzzle o...
