Ammo Question

I found an ammo thread on the very last page of this forum while I was looking for what people normally shoot. The threads were from 2005 and I didn't notice that at first. I started looking at the prices everyone said they were paying and I thought they much have found a gold mine. $6 for 50! That'...

It's Here, It's Here!

All the P-64's I've seen have 9x18 Makarov on the side and the import markings under the barrel in front of the trigger guard. Yours is much rarer at least around here. Does it have any significance? I had never really thought about it. Does it mean anything special? Maybe Norm could help on this q...

Handgun/Rifle Storage

I keep my guns in a handmade oak gun cabinet. I too keep my excessively oiled. I keep a nice sheen of Rem Oil all over every one of them!

Well keep us informed. But a $20 price increase is almost 50% for your holsters. YIKES! I just wish there was an easier way. I may end up going with a Crossbreed. Maybe you could email or call them and ask them where they are getting their J-hooks. Leave out the part about you being their competitio...

It's Here, It's Here!

Well these are some pretty tough walnut. I've tried a pair on my 1911 and they held up just fine on it. I'll get it roughly fitted and put them on and shoot a hundred rounds or so and see how they hold up. If they break then at least I won't have put in all that sanding time. I've also got some spal...

It's Here, It's Here!

Thanks fellas! I sad that I had to wrap it up and put it under the tree until Christmas now. You can bet that as soon as Christmas is here, I'm going to take it to the range. I've already started working on a set of walnut grips for it. I had a spare piece laying around and cut it into a black last ...

I've looked at dickfunk's holsters and they're very close to what I'm looking for. The only problem is the belt loops. It's not exactly a "tuckable" holster. I need something with a metal clip that I can clip to my pants then cover with belt over the top or something with a "J" h...

Sorry Norm...didn't know I needed to shrink the pics. I'll make sure it doesn't happen again. I noticed it doesn't mention anything about "Makarov". I don't know enough about the P-64s yet to know what, if anything, that means. It only came with one mag and one cleaning rod. The mag is num...

Looking for a good Ruger No. 1

I've been looking to trade for while now for a good Ruger No. 1. I've got a Browning A-Bolt that I'd be willing to trade as well as a Browning BAR Safari. Seems like the Ruger No. 1 is a hard rifle to find...at least around these parts.

It's Here, It's Here!

I'm going to try to get some better pictures tonight. I'll try using a different background and maybe it won't glare so bad. I keep thinking about the dang thing all day. I don't know if I'm just really weird, but whenever I buy a new pistol I just like to hold it ALL the time for the first few week...

Now that I've got my P-64, I've been combing through this section of the forum trying to figure out what kind of holster would work best for me. But the amount of information here is simply overwhelming. Maybe someone can help with my specific questions. My first question is about where to carry on ...

It's Here, It's Here!

I just got my P-64 in yesterday that I ordered from J&G Sales. This might be one of the sharpest looking pistols I've ever seen! I'm positive it's never been issued and I'd stake a good amount of money that it's never been fired either. It looks like it just left the factory back in 1976. It has...

how many

I can't remember on what website it was, but I've read something like that too. I was doing some research on this gun before I decided to buy and ran across a website that some people from Poland were commenting on. They said they hated the little pistols and were glad to be getting rid of them. I h...

Drying up

They're just backed up right now. My order is listed as "shipped" though which means it should arrive within a day or two. That's what the status on my order says as well. As for grips, I'm currently working on a set of spalted hackberry grips for my 1911. But when I get a new scroll saw ...
