Drying up
J&G has a large stock of them supposedly. You just have to wait on their backed up shipping. Mine was $181 and some change which included tax and shipping.

P64 spring choice
Thanks for the link with the picture! I didn't think it would have been too big of a deal. I could probably use a bench-mounted belt sander and flatten it out if I needed to.

P64 spring choice
How hard is it to file a little off the end of the spring? Is it that big of a deal that I'd want to consider the #20 instead? And on the hammer spring, would the #18 be stiff enough to not have problems with the mag falling out?

P64 spring choice
Alright I just wanted to make sure. So what are the limitations of this? By that I mean, how stiff of a recoil spring can a person use before it's too stiff to let the slide cycle back and eject the case? And by the same token, what the lightest hammer spring you can get before you start encounterin...

Best Source for Makarov Ammo?
I thought maybe everyone could share what they use and where they buy it. I'm a big fan of bulk ammo. I use Wolf ammo in my .45 and my .223 rifle. Sure it's dirty and nasty and I have to clean it really well, but for just plain fun range plinking, it's the way to go. But now that I'm getting this P-...

P64 spring choice
So since I'm a newb, I'll ask my questions in this thread instead of waiting until my pistol comes in and asking the same questions again. I've looked at the Wolff website and from what I understand, the number of the spring is the poundage, correct? So a #20 spring would be a 20 pound spring, and s...

I've literally called every gun dealer in the big KC Metro yellowpages. Not one single real Makarov, which was what I started out looking for. Only one place had a PA-63 and that was the Olathe Gun Shop and it was showing some rust spots and I wasn't impressed. The only other Makarov caliber was a P...

Yes, I'll be sure and take pictures of it when I get it. I made the purchase today. I didn't really want to wait. I didn't buy from the gun shop though. I decided to buy from J&G. I was going to pay the extra $10 for a handpicked one, but they guy I talked to told me that it really would be poin...

**Handmade IWB Holsters**
I'll keep my eye out for new patterns. But I wouldn't through out the clip idea without a little experimentation. I know several large brands use a clip design. Now I can speak from experience, the plastic clips are worthless. But I had a nylon IWB holster for my Beretta PX4 that was ambi and used a...

It looks like a high quality product. But what about those of us who don't wear belts everyday? Do you make an IWB holster that uses a clip? You wouldn't have to use the extra leather. Just make it to where you could put a metal clip on the side of the holster. Change the shape of the top sides of t...

I'm making the purchase tomorrow from J&G. I guess I can deal with the import billboards. I had my FFL send a copy of the license, but J&G says they get so many in per day that I should call back tomorrow and make sure they get to it by then. I'm going to go ahead and pay an extra $10 for th...

Are you having to wait on them to ship it or do they not have any in stock right now?spiralarchitect wrote:I'm waiting for my P64 from J&G, I guess they're backed up for about 2 weeks.

Thanks for the welcome! I'll probably call the gun shop and see if the ole boy will take $200 cash for his. His is a TN import that has the markings underneath the muzzle. I think I can deal with the scratches and will probably get a lot of wear on it myself. I'd like to use it as a carry. Is there ...

Thanks for the info. What would you call the condition of the ones that come from J&G? The one that the guy at the gun shop had he called "surplus new" which it looked like it had never been fired but there were some scratches on the muzzle end of the slide. It only came with one mag a...
