Cobra Patriot 45
Spudit is alive and well I suffered a relationship failure and ended up living elsewhere. I got my stuff, dog visitation and that "crappy old sailboat". I am living on same, afloat in the warm waters of Puget Sound. Nothing new to report on the pistol except that mine survived a brief dip ...

GR and Gang I fired a round nose with the flat one next in line so nothing special in the way of penetration or expansion. I was more interested in how the flat one would load under the force of the recoil. No problems. I fired at a pretty good angle this time so it stayed in the wood where it's saf...

Hi Gang, I am looking forward to the results of GR's research into JHP since I feel a sudden urge to stock up on about 4 years worth of ammo. The question comes down to feeding so I have made my very own flat tip bullet by filing the tip of a 230 grain Winchester FMJ flat. The tip is now a good 1/4&...

Thanks GR Many projects here, house painting and construction projects and you know how this North West summer has been. Now, dare I start the roof? My brother, visiting from Chicago, is confused because this average Joe can and does carry the Cobra most places. It's my standard carry unless I'm wal...

Last summer, a Cobra rep told me they had a bad batch of outsourced firing pins and had to replace them with some made in house. How they were made, I don't know.

No cut and dried answers I'm afraid I haven't tried feeding it hollow points yet. I can't see myself buying a few 20 dollar boxes of cartridges just as an experiment. Ammo is hard to return once opened. I hope to borrow a few samples of various types from friends to see if they load by jacking the s...

Thanks, we shall see how they do. These mags lack the pinkie rest of the factory units. Imay have to make some.
Shipping was kind of ugly at $9.49 for three, about 45 bucks total.
I found the snap caps loosened my trigger up nicely.

No firearmsrelated news to report, I've been doing yardwork.
Thanks for the holster info PshootR.
And to GR, I hope the last few days of good weather did you good.

GR, I'll have to take your word on it since I've never seen the other pistol. It's thick leather, a snug fit and carries the weight well. I found some inexpensive 6 round 1911 mags at Sportsman's Guide. I may get a couple. Here's the link. http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/cb/cb.aspx?p=WX2&i=66...
