JHP Ammo & Glasers
Having a bad day, Bill? Have you found any good 9X18 that doesn't work in your gun? And many people don't mail order ammo, and check shop shelves instead. As a matter of fact, I found another box of discontinued Fiochhi JHP Friday. And about all the the jugs, gelatin, temperature, clothing, blah bla...

JHP Ammo & Glasers
I think what Fiocci labels 90 gr FMJHP is probably better than the Hornady. About 100 fps faster, but discontinued. If you see it in a shop, the 50 rd box is a winner. Here's a link for the best Russian FMJ at $5.75/box. Bernaul has been making ammo for 100 yrs. Their 95 gr HP is also great. For wha...

A REAL POLISH MAKAROV!
I called Keep Shooting, and it was a FALSE ALARM. They screwed up their ad and are really selling P-64's for $179.95.
Sorry, but the ad got my heart pumpin'. Guess there isn't a real Polish MAK.

A REAL POLISH MAKAROV!
Dick,
Found this at Keep Shooting. It's a real 8 shot Makarov made in Poland. $179.95, and free shipping. Maybe we could make an exception to check this out since it's Polish!

Dick, don't be afraid to bargain on set prices. He should gladly come down from Ebay prices, for access to this many takers, which will increase with time. I'm pretty sure he is already making at least 500% profit on Ebay, and padding the shipping cost. Mak holsters with mag and rod are being sold b...

Hope the inquiries to the Polish seller didn't make him greedy. Looks like he may be removing the magazine and cleaning rod for separate sale.

Give a warm welcome to saands
Hi Ssands.
Please see my query on the mainspring fix thread. With my SA pull now at 3 1/4, and yet still having the terrible DA, I need some feedback on how the SA is affected with the PPK spring.
Thanks,
Stan

Did I almost blow my gun up?
AMD, I wouldn't discourage the 115's as a carry load, but wouldn't recommend frequent use, without a stronger recoil spring in this little gun. Much the same as 38+P loads in ultra-lite snubbies that aren't +p rated. Wouldn't hesitate to carry, but using as a frequent practice round would be asking ...

The poll only allows one pick. Can you change to allow for multiple choices?

Did I almost blow my gun up?
Sorry if I came off a little snooty, but I reload for the 223, 22-250, 243, 25-06, 270, 7mm-08, and 308. I try different bullets, cases, powders, and primers, until I can get sub 1/2" moa. If I can't, I trade the rifle in. That's why I'm so aware of bullet wts, hot loads, and recoil. There is p...

Did I almost blow my gun up?
Why are you guys trying to blow up your guns? It's pretty obvious to me that the 115gr as loaded, is too much mass and energy for this little pistol, and it's obviously a very hot load to be achieving the same velocities as the 90 to 95 gr rounds that this gun was made to shoot. I also posted before...

A day at the range . . .
I posted this link a while back which gives data for most 9x18 ammo out of a Bulgie Mak. Very comprehensive, and expertly done. It came from another site. As bankerbilly said, should be little difference in the P-64.
Hope this helps,
Stan

1976, triangle hammer, flat grips, as new when purchased. One of two mags is matching numbers. My guess is that pistols were removed from holsters when imported, since holsters I've seen for sale come with a magazine in place, and are shipped from Poland, I think. Thus, only one matching mag with pi...

Give a warm welcome to saands
Glad to see you on board, saands. Would like to confirm that your recommended trigger spring is still the 16# Wolff P/N 25816. The guy I talked to there today wasn't helpful at all, and said they had a P-64, but were too busy to get to it for at least 90 days. He discouraged using subs, so thought I...
