Shooting your P64

Nimble, there is lots of ammo history here in older threads, but my conclusion is that this pistol eats almost everything, unless you have an isolated problem example. Only cautions have been on the 115 gr silver bear, because this small pistol was made for the 90-95 grain range, and the hot 115 gr....

Bartos' Mainspring Revelation

Today in his disassembly thread, bartos answered my heavy mainspring question for once and for all. It was the hard primers early on, and they used single action most of the time. He says that improving the DA, though, is a good idea. Recommend going to his new thread under General Discussion. I'll ...

HOW TO DISASSEMBLY YOUR P-64

bartos, many here wondered about the spring, and your answer has solved the mystery. Most ammo we now get here does not have the primer problem. We just found it hard to believe that it wasn't changed over the years.
Thank you again,
Stan

HOW TO DISASSEMBLY YOUR P-64

Hi bartos, We appreciate background information like this post, and your experience with this weapon. I would like to know if the mainspring we are struggling with was the original spring, and did you and your comrades do anything to lessen the double action pull weight? We have wondered why it was ...

Source of many P-64 stuff

Greetings Bartos, I am also pleased to have your posts here. We are lucky to have you. I am also Polish. My grandparents came from Medrzechow, but left there about 1900 to come to the U.S.. I believe it is near Krakow? Do you know of it? I'm a retired Air Force pilot, so I feel a "brotherly con...

P-64 Misconceptions

I think we're at the stage where we can discuss and clear up some things that we assumed or speculated on, so I'll throw out a few. 1. " Thumbrest grips were put on later year guns". Do we agree that they were just put on the left grip of all years, after some time, for import reasons? 2. ...

Grips

Hi Don, since these have just been imported recently, there isn't aftermarket stuff yet. Some guys are using the slip-on grips from Hogue, Uncle Mike's, or Pachmayer. There is a post here showing pictures. Am curious about what you used to snip the spring coils. I've ordered replacement springs, so ...

Wollf Gunsprings News

Forgot to add that I asked Wolff about the effect of lighter springs on the SA pull, and he said that it shouldn't be affected much. Ill find out soon.
Bottom line is, I could tell they have been playing with the P-64! :)

Wollf Gunsprings News

Ordered a 26592 hammer spring pak today. Asked about the P-64 progress, and it sounds like our orders have planted the seed. No time frame, but he said they would be offering lighter trigger spring options in general, than they do for the PPK, and that the PPK group is still ok to use for now. Based...

20 miles from Somerset - Pa turrnpike interchange. Gets a little snowy and chilly up there in the winter. Still great deer huntin', though.

I second the welcome, preacher. Grew up just up the road from you in a PA Appalachian coal mining town. Been a lot of places, but still go back to the roots in the summer. You'll do just fine here. Sounds like you got your priorities in order. Make sure you put your flag on the Frapper map dickfunk ...

P-64 Holster

Agree that The Fobus may not be a great choice. To answer your second questin, the Mak is a larger pistol. Any PPK holster should be just right. Ebay has a large selection( 30 right now ) of holsters, new and used) for PPK's that would be much more reasonable than buying retail. Go to Ebay and enter...

Replacing the mainspring for lighter DA pull

You weren't kidding about Wolff springs quick service! Got springs already!
Please let us know the results of the spring replacement, to include the one you like. Would also like to know the effect on the already light SA pull.
Thanks,
Stan

Trigger Bar popped out - HELP please!

Welcome Nodak,
If you read some posts you might have noticed that some of us newer owners are trying various trigger and recoil springs. As a seasoned owner do you have any tips or recommendations for us?
Any or all would be appreciated,
Stan
